Defiantly worth the money.
First off, this knife did not come in new. I did same day shipping because I am a knife fanatic and couldn't wait. Upon opening the Amazon box I discover the knife wrapped in the ZT usual bubble wrap with the info pamphlet enclosed. I then look at the label and it's listed as new. The thing with me is I Iike holding onto the manufacturer boxes my knives come in so I was already set off. Right away I notice that it was not new. It had about a 15% lock up and the blade cam was gouged. To top it off, the amount of black reside that came onto the blade from flipping it was upsetting. I own various ZT models and never had this problem. At the point it was defiantly a used knife to me. Luckily, I got onto Amazon and set up a return. And let me tell you, it was the easiest process. Good job Amazon. They right away sent a new one and I got it the next day tagged along with another order I had. To top it off, they gave me 30 days to return the item unused. Perfect! Now about the knife. This model is amazing. It's rather big like a mini pocket sword! It makes me feel like I can go to war solo and come out victorious. The ergo's are top notch and it came razor sharp. The detent is perfect! It's not to strong but holds enough to fire this blade out with a fury. I can't stop flipping it! For anyone who owns a ZT knows that they push out an amazing product and true to their name, they have ZERO TOLERANCE for any sub-par manufacturing. I know the price may seem steep for a production but the 0452CF can glorify any price. The materials, the fit and finish, the ergonomics, everything is perfect. If your looking for a new ZT or just starting out on collecting and going straight for a high end. I recommend the 0452CF. Once in hand you will fall in love with it. I'm not going into specs because the specs and description listed pretty much describe it all. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed.

Awesome knife, but it has a few small issues...
This is my first knife purchase that exceeded $200. I own a half-dozen benchmades, several spyderco's, several kershaws, but only one ZT before purchase which was the 0566 (a great knife as well). Pros: - The quality is superb. I mean really superb. The fit and finish is fantastic. - The deployment (after about 200+ flips) is incredible. The blade flies open. It rockets past the 0566 which is assisted. I'm still amazed out how fast this knife deploys for a manual flipper. - The looks are amazing. I absolutely love the design. - Even though it's a very large knife, it fits my hands very well and very comfortably. - I can carry this in dress slacks, blue jeans, cargo shorts, inside my waistband, etc. Supper easy to carry. - Yes it can be an EDC knife even though it's over 5" long! It's not uncomfortable in your pocket. - The lockup is absolutely, without a doubt, the most solid lockup i have ever experienced. The ZT 0566 was good, but not this good! and benchmades and spyderco's are great, but not this great. It's a huge knife, easy to get the leverage to flex and rock the blade to feel some slack but there is none. - The frame is very sturdy, even through there are only two standoffs at the back of the knife. There is very little flex. - The carbon fiber does provide some nice (yet subtle) traction. - The weight!! This is a light-weight knife for it's size. Cons: - The blade was not what i would call sharp. The grind was about 20* on one side and probably 30* on the other side. I had to reprofile the whole blade in order to sharpened in 20* on each side with my sharpmaker. - The blade is long and you can cut yourself on the tip of the knife with it closed. I have not done this, but I have felt the tip several times when reaching for the knife closed. Not a deal breaker for me, but it is possible to cut yourself. - The top-back corner of the carbon fiber was sharp and dug into my palm when flipping. It was machined perfectly but was just uncomfortable so i took some fine sandpaper and after a few passes it rounded the corner just enough. - The pocket clip is just dumb. I put a pocket clip from my kershaw Camber on the knife for the time being. This allows for a slightly deeper ride in the pocket so that the knife just disappears all together. - There is some rough scratching/ grinding against the blade and lockbar (once the detent ball drops off and right before the lockbar clicks into place). After a few hundred (okay, probably a few thousand at this point) flips, the grinding is about gone. It doesn't seem to affect performance, and it's only for about an 1/8" of travel or so. I think this is just due to the lockbar insert not being polished and it drags the blade for just a bit. - It's so long in my pocket that if i have keys in the same pocket they hit each other. I've never had this problem before so it makes me reconsider how i carry my phone/keys/etc. - Price, yep - it's expensive. Wishlist: - Make this same exact knife the size of the ZT 0450. I'm not into all metal/titanium knifes. So give me the ZT 0450 with a CF scale or a miniature version of this knife and i'll be all over it. Overall: I really like this knife. Once i sharpened the blade with an edge pro, the put a fine 40* inclusive edge on it with a sharpmaker ultra fine stones, followed by stropping, the blade performs at a much higher (and expected) level. It's supper fun to flips and look at. I plan to use it as an EDC and it's a great food prep and steak knife replacement. If i had to do it over again i probably would have bought the ZT 0562CF which is a little bit shorter and the grind looks to be better for slicing. The 0452CF is just long enough that i can't carry keys and the knife in the same pocket and that bothers me a little. However, i'm still going to carry it! Is it worth the money? I have no idea, probably not, but the quality is much higher than all of the $130-$150 knives i own so i guess you do get what you pay for! I've included a picture of this against a Benchmade Sequel 707 which is truly a perfect EDC knife (3" blade). Big difference in size!

Production Knife Excellence.
I have experience with mostly average knifes, low to mid grade Sog's and Kershaw's. Then I graduated to a higher quality Spyderco that was a revelation. This is my first ZT and it has been an equal revelation. This knife is equal parts tough, robust build, tight tolerances, high grade materials, and superior design. The scales are well contoured and machined, with the carbon scale lightening the knife and the titanium side giving it good weight. I say weight, but it is only as heavy as it needs to be to feel robust but still is ultimately carryable. Sizewise this is only a fraction of an inch longer than my paramilitary 2 closed and the handle hides the 4 inch blade better than that knife. The blade is perfectly centered, the Lock up is 100% first time every time, and while having a tight detent, it does fire out with the flipper. I love that this isn't a speedsafe model but just uses the buttery smoothness of the bearing system. The blade is beautifully sculpted, two tone, flat ground, and came as sharp as any knife I've ever bought. The pocket clip is tip up only and fold over deep carry perfection. I've been carrying this for a few days now and the smooth flipper action is addicting. It carries much smaller than its specs and is a great, large edc blade if you're confident with a large blade. Buy with confidence. 10/2016 Update: I still love the size, the weight, the materials, the asthetics, but there's one gripe. The tip of the blade is too close to the end of the handle when closed. If you press the pad of your finger down on the butt end of the knife when closed, it will scratch your finger. Even worse, when it was clipped into my pocket, one time I tried to get something out of the pocket. I tried to push past it and the webbing between my thumb and forefinger caught the gap between the scales and because the blade tip is so close to the end, it neatly cut my handed and nearly ruined a pair of pants with blood. This is a design flaw unique to the 0452 because I have the 0450 zdp and the tip is back 1mm.

Great but not perfect knife.
Like others I was gripping the knife and pushing against lock against the detent while trying to open. Took a while to realize the very difficult opening was my fault. Made adjustment in holding the knife and I was able to open. However the opening was still difficult. I have been working the the knife by opening over and over while watching TV to try to reduce friction of the detent. I have sore thumbs and fingers but the opening IS becoming easier. Also, I carry this in the pocket watch pocket of my jeans. Fits very well and stays out of the way. I removed the pocket clip (Torx #6) and now feel of the is much better AND easier to open. Great fit and finish, beautiful knife, best of breed materials, extremely light, fits my hand like I was made for this knife (especially without the pocket clip). One other item that is included with this type of lock. Under heavy use (blade force) the lock can move a bit and become jammed in place (high friction) and require a screwdriver or some sort of flat blade to move it back to its proper position. This can be a pain because after heavy force/use you may not be able to close the knife without some sort of small pry-tool. With break-in of the detent and knowledge of the lock shift I still really like this knife.

Best folding knife
It's expensive but it's the best pocket knife I have ever purchased. Keep in mind it's larger than most folding knives. I purchased it because I have very large hands. Most folding knife blades are around 3.5inches long, whereas this blade is 4.1 inches long. Once you break in the knife, the action is extremely smooth

Excellent Folding Knife for Utility and/or Self-Defense
The ZT Sinkevich 0452CF folder with a statin finished S35VN blade, carbon fibre presentation scale, and titanium liner lock is a well-designed, well-executed, Med-Lg. pocket folder. Sinkevich's creative imagination and vision is superb. (I also quite like his fixed blade for Fantoni with orange micarta scales). Elegant blade geometry is well-suited for cutting, slashing, and stabbing. Particularly good for orthodox forward thrust – see Styer’s classic “Cold Steel” (nothing to do with the knife company), arguably still one of the top two books on the subject. Came with a No-BS razor sharp edge and an immaculate pointed tip. Satin finish is good for a production knife in S35V, which is a beautiful steel –aesthetically and functionally. I’m grateful they’re offering it with satin grinds (edge and top false edge) with minimal contrast in stonewash. Satin on stainless is more pleasing than any of the other popular finishes these days – indeed, the last 15 yrs or so. It is also highly functional if one simply oils one’s knife from time to time and is sure to clean it when used. Carbon fibre scale, bolsters, and titanium liner-lock keep its weight low. Flipper mechanism is perfect. Quick, fluid, and rock solid lock up. Jimping on thumb rest and flipper are grippy but not excessively rough. I especially like the jimping on the flipper: improves traction, indexing, and feels nice. The pocket clip is strong and works better than most. Almost a full deep pocket, but not quite. As others have pointed out, knife companies and designers should keep their logos off clip. In this case, ZT still guilty. Tip up only, but can be made lefty. Comfortable and strong grip in all the usual forms. I have XXL hands and grip size is almost perfect. I concede it is too much to ask a production knife to fit my meat-hooks. To sum up. Excellent folding knife for utility and/or self-defense. Also a terrific value for the price; it includes the best contemporary materials at this price point. Everything anyone could reasonably want or need for EDC+ (By “plus” I mean this knife is worthy of being a safe-queen. No shame in that.). Only criticism: carbon fibre is SMOOTH. Feels nice, but for application should have texture. Some might see this as an opinion, but, functionally, some texturing would make for a surer grip. Curious to see how carbon fibre evolves in this regard.

Good overall knife
It’s a good knife. It’s big and beautiful. It deploys like a dream. No visible manufacturing defects. The price is excellent for a Made in USA knife with such features as titanium/carbon fiber handle and a premium steel blade. However I really wish the blade was stone washed. You WILL see every scratch on this beautiful milled surface. Also, the clip is comically tiny. However one thing that ended all the love for this knife for me is a design flaw. The detent ball digging into the tang of the blade – enough to make an arc shaped scratch which is in a plain view and very visible even on the uncoated blade. What it looks like on the knife with a black blade... I don’t even want to think about.

Hard to open and locks out too far
This is by far the nicest knife I own. you do get what you pay for. It is double the cost of a similar SOG or Gerber and probably not double the quality, only time will tell. It is obviously a better made knife than it's $100 competitors. the flipper action is a little tight and tough on my finger. It will probably break in over time. As others have mentioned its light weight for its size. It is on the large size for an every day carry , but not so big as to scare someone who sees you take it out to open a box at work. It is not quite razor sharp, but anyone who knows anything about knives can remedy that quickly. I don't mind having to finish the edge a little. The shape of the handle is perfect, making it very easy to hold onto and not slip. I am going to purchase a low carry clip, so it does not show out the top of my pocket Followup note: After a few flips I realized it is not too tight, I have my finger on the lock release and it is putting pressure on the blade. Once I move my fingers off the lock and onto the back scale it opens really fast. I am sure others are making this same mistake and then saying it is too hard to open. this opens perfectly smooth and easy if done properly. I do have a problem with the lock bar locking out too far making it hard to unlock. in one situation it locked out so far I had to use a screw driver to release the lock. If it continues to do this I may have to send it back to ZT for repair.

NAVAJA PREMIUM
Diestro o zurdo, no importa.

Navaja Elegante, refinada y discreta.
