I don't like spicy food. I can't eat anything spicier than a pimento, it's sad. But I LOVE this pepper powder. It's has the most beautiful flavor-- a subtle smokiness, faint floral high note, and the quickest bit of heat-- that elevates everything I eat it on. The quality of this particular espelette powder is exceptional; the flakes come in multiple sizes and are perfect for anything. I sprinkle my espelette on a nice cheese, jam, and cracker the most. I will be buying this product again.

Excellent flavor and color in Basque chorizo

I bought a cookbook about a year ago that contained some really great looking recipes which called for Piment d'Espelette. I'd never heard of it, although I'm a fairly sophisticated cook. I was holding off because it is fairly expensive. This week I finally decided to give it a try. The fans went wild and I got great flavor out of only 1 teaspoon in a fairly large dish - so it's expensive, but not really too bad. The heat level will be fine for all but the most heat averse diners and the flavor is richer and more complex than even high quality paprika - it's a different thing. Go for it.

Really delicious product. I've used it on several meats and veggies and enjoyed the experience.

Good spice on seafood

Color is bright, odor flavorful. Taste is good, more flavor than plain old red pepper flakes. Not too hot for this old palate. I know it's from a special place, but price may stop me from buying again. Not because it's not worth it, because my budget is limited!

I love this pepper as it is flavorful and not too spicy.

My go to paprika for all my Mediterranean dishes.
