This is a great starter, as well as experienced artists, kit of very affordable brushes. This set of 10 brushes gives the artist a broad choice of brushes from most commonly used to very fine detail, special usage brushes. These are 100% nylon hairs and no animals were used in the making of these brushes. These are excellent for watercolor, gouache, or ink. I have found that they hold a lot of water and paint and retain an excellent point during the painting process. So far the brushes do not shed and the points on the round brushes are tight. I love the pastel colors, the carrying tube and pouch. I’m pleased with this purchase. Great value.

I really wanted to like these. I’m always looking for good budget watercolor brushes. Of course I’m a sucker for pastel and wanted brushes that made me happy to use. Some of the brushes are nice but the metal piece that holds the brush are lose on multiple brushes. Also some of the points are jacked up and uneven. I’m frustrated having to return things all the time so I’m still debating is I want to keep them or not. Edit: They reached out to me shortly after my review. I greatly appreciate that. I was sent another set. These ones didn’t have the lose metal piece. Some of the tips were still bent but they said they would talk to the manufacturer. It’s mostly with the larger brushes that don’t have the plastic protector. I was able to fix that. You take boiling water and you put just the brush hair part in the water. Spin it around and twirl on the side of the glass for maybe 30 seconds to a minute. Once you take it out shape the tip with your fingers and allow to dry. The brush itself is wonderful. Holds its point and a lot of pigment/water. For the price point these are amazing brushes

Looking at other reviews it seemed these were decent for the price. However when I received them they blew my expectations away. I thought I was getting some mid brushes but these are perfect, the handles are sturdy, the bristles are the perfect combo soft and snappy. I haven't seen even a hint of shed. Water retention is great. As far as shape the only one i saw any issue with was the cat tongue tip but thats easy to fix. I highly recommend if you want nice brushes before to find what you like before investing in big name professional brushes.

I haven't actually painted anything with these brushes yet but these look (and feel) like really nice high quality brushes. Like everything else in life, you can spend more for better quality, but as already mentioned, these seem perfect for a beginner. The unpackaging presentation is top notch. Someone spent a lot of time considering how the product comes packaged, Nice carboard tube with classy graphics. A nice felt pouch and the brushes were indiviually wrapped and protected with plastic nibs. The brush material feels like it might have been dipped in something like starch to keep the bristles well formed. I pressed one of the brushes against some paper and they softened up right away. Assuming with some water they soften up even more. They feel nice in the hand. Time will tell once I start painting but based on the other reviews, I'm expecting these to meet or exceed my needs until I get better lol I always feel like you can tell a lot about the quality of something by how well it's packaged for delivery and use. For the price - this is excellent. Well done. Looking forward to painting with them.

I've progressed from the cheapest brushes to the next level, but I'm by no means a formal artist. These are that sweet spot of 'a little nicer' but also not crazy expensive. Paint well, clean well, retain their tip.

I purchased these brushes as a gift. My granddaughter loves them. She is in college taking art classes and these brushes have become her favorites. She said her professor like them so much she bought a set. For the money you are get really nice quality brushes. The cardboard tube they come in is perfect for storing the brushes. It also had a black velvety type fabric bag to protect the brushes. Overall, she is loving these brushes and has thanked me several times for them. If you watercolor, give these a try. You can't beat the quality for the price.

I wanted to try which brushes would be nice for Folkart painting, that’s why I bought them to find out for myself.

This is such good value for money and the love the variety in brushes. I’ve used a few and they glide lovely on the page and no hairs left on my artwork. I’m really pleased and think it’s excellent value for money, paint and water holds well. I’m new to watercolour and felt like with these brushes picked it up quite well. Brushes sizes are varied making it great for any size of work.

Llevo usándolos más de un año. Sin ser de un nivel excelente, resultan versátiles y de buena calidad, absorben bien y se limpian fácil. Son batalleros y a pesar de la caña que llevan siguen como nuevos.

Very nice brushes. Have yet to use them but they look good, and the ferrules are sturdy. Velvet bag is a lovely gift.

Don't hold the water , not for me these were a waste of money
