Wow.. these are so useful. There is a time and place for c clamps. These are for all the other times! They are rapid fast, very strong. I can set 4 of these up by the time I am done adjusting just one c clamp twirling it slowly to the desired size range. C clamps have more potential clamping force but are a good amount slower and get in the way much more.

I use this for sueezing brake caliper pistons in when replacing brake pads and for holding stuff/providing a good ground while I weld. Way more useful than a regular c-clamp.

2 years ago I bought several of these and loved it. 2 years later I come back to buy more and I get a thin weak piece of junk, Same add, same page, different clamp, although it looks the same but thinner. Now I switched to maxpower clamps. At least they tell you how strong it is and give you options for choosing the strong ones. Hobart name has now lost its credibility and I no longer trust that name for quality.

They are not heavy duty by along shot!

These work great. Quickly clamp anything from 0 to 12 inches. The clamping arm doesn't slide quite as smooth as a wilton, but for less than a quarter of the price I'll take it. Over time they appear to be wearing in and sliding a little better. The copper plated threads prevent most weld spatter from actually sticking and screwing up the thread.

Very sturdy

Bessey “Heavy Duty” clamps have 2600lbs force, these have 1000lbs. Excellent quality, but not “heavy duty”.

I've always used bessey brand clamps but this was significantly cheaper and has held up to a lot of abuse, the coating on the threads stops weld slatter and slag from sticking to it. I would definitely recommend it if you're on a budget.

Good quality clamp

These are quite flimsy and light duty clamps. If you torque on them they will bend quite readily. For the money they are ok for the weekend hobby welder or for an extra set of light clamps to have in your tool box at work. These are not even close to Bessey clamps. Ok value for the money.
