There can be a little play in the joints that produce some wobble, but pulling rubber bands into the spaces tightens it right up. Good mount, overall.

I’m totally disappointed with the design of this $49.00 piece of plastic. If you take a close look at the nut in the picture you’ll see that the nut is much smaller than the nut shaped area surrounding it. As a result, when you turn the bolt to unscrew the nut (so you can adjust the angle of the platform which holds the camera) it just turns both the nut and the bolt. There’s no way to get a grip on the nut to get it loose. A socket, needle nose players doen’t work. Also, because of this problem you can’t remove the platform either. Is there a special tool for this thing?

Bought this to mount my Gopro on my kayak more securely, while being able to position it extremely flexibly. It works like a charm, exactly as shown in their videos. Easy to hold steady in any position, while pretty easy to turn in any direction you want on the fly.You do need one of their Railblaza Starport mounts to use this, and though they star looks like Scotty mounts, I'm not sure that they are compatible at all.This is a 3 piece system that is highly versatile and fits together with many other pieces in their array of boat mounts.
