TDC Games Grass Card Game for Adults

This card game is so entertaining, we laughed so much. The game is designed well and is the perfect gift.

Great replacement for my older gunnysack game. I wanted to keep my original close to mint condition, so I haven’t used it in a long time. This is like original and a fun game to play. Definitely an adult game. Great instructions and a nifty box. I recommend.

Forget the included rules! For some unknown reason they were changed in the anniversary edition to make Sold Out, Doublecrossed, and Utterly Wiped Out into offensive cards which totally ruins the gameplay and makes no sense. You will find many interpretations of how to play this game... here is my "tried and true" most fun ruleset: Market Open: Basically the same as the Mille Bornes green traffic light. Needed to start your hand before any Peddle, Stonehigh, Euphoria, Sold Out, Doublecrossed, Utterly Wiped Out, or Steal Your Neighbor's Pot can be played. You CAN put Heat On other people even if you haven't opened your market yet. Peddle: Played whenever Market Open and no Heat On cards are present. Protect: Played on top of previously played Peddle cards whenever Market Open and no Heat On cards are present. Can protect less or an equal amount of Peddle cards, but not more. Cannot be combined with other Protect cards. Cannot be moved once put down. Heat On: Blocks player from peddling, stealing, or protecting until either A) corresponding Heat Off card is played or B) uses the Pay Fine card or C) plays either Stonehigh or Euphoria or D) plays Utterly Wiped Out which eliminates their entire hand. Heat Off: Eliminates the corresponding Heat On. Stonehigh: Eliminates any Heat On, takes lowest unprotected Peddle from each player. Euphoria: Eliminates any Heat On, takes highest unprotected Peddle from each player, and gets another turn. Steal Your Neighbor's Pot: Used to steal anyone's unprotected Peddle card as long as the player doesn't have Heat On and has already fielded a Market Open. Market Close: Ends the hand if played (but not discarded... then no effect). Cannot be played while Heat On or if Market Open has never been played first. Sold Out: Lose lowest unprotected Peddle, lose a turn, and this is the kicker... everyone takes a mystery card from the hand of the person on their right. This increases the possibility of passing along a bad card or losing a good one like the Banker. Aha! More fun than just passing undesirable cards around. Doublecrossed: Lose highest unprotected Peddle, lose TWO turns, and mystery card taken from everyone on the right. Utterly Wiped Out: Lose all cards, lose TWO turns, and mystery card taken from everyone on the right. Scoring is largely the same: Peddle cards held in hand at the end of round count against you. $25,000 penalty for a Sold Out, $50,000 for Doublecrossed, and $100,000 for Utterly Wiped Out. Banker gets 20% of each player's unprotected total (and they lose the 20%). Highest peddler of round gets $25,000 bonus. MAJOR addition: Side dealing. During a player's turn they may negotiate a trade of one card from their hand for one card from another player's hand. The trade is made face-down, cards are exchanged, and each of the players in question may or may not be honest about what they've just put down. HA! Played this game with my sister turned around and bought it myself.. that's how fun it is except when they shut you down...😁

Just as much fun now as when it first came out.

if you are a smoker or just a fan o fun, this game is for you. I have been playing it for over 20 years. It will take a couple open hands to get the game down, something about things moving slowly when the smoke is in the air. It is possible to play with less than four people but I recommend removing some of the cards to make it easier to play. My girlfriend and I have been playing all throughout the pandemic, has saved us some boredom for sure. make sure you have plenty of good food and youre ready for fun

So much fun. Once you get the hang of it, it's the best game.
