Well built portable AC, not super fancy but good quality
Bought this for our family room not to have to turn on AC that frequently. Our Family room is around 500sqf. This one easily handles it. Yet not sure about the cost difference but the fact that our house is around 2500sqf, I’d say it’s easier to heat up or cool down 500sqf compared to 2500sqf. I’ve tried using Alexa to easily turn ON/OFF the unit Several times and Ive also tried adjusting the temperature by voice command. It works and it’s easy but to be honest it is only 5-6 ft away from me by the TV, how lazy should one be not to walk to the AC and only use ALexa. But it works very nice and smooth. The mobile app is way more important and functional in my opinion compared to Alexa. It works very much like a smartphone remote controller and allows you to control the AC. I really like the idea of being able to turn it on before getting back home so that the family room is all warmed up before we get back home. Also if you forget to turn it off and go upstairs, you won’t need to walk all the way down to turn it off, you can turn it on and off and adjust temperature all with your phone. It does have the old school remote control and it’s not bad, I myself usually only use the app unless the remote is right by me on the sofa. I’ve used both heat and cool since we live in San Diego, hot during the day and somewhat cold at night. Both work pretty good and reliable. I haven’t used the dehumidifier and can’t vouch for that really. Would know better about the 12K BTU cooling when the summer arrives but at the moment the cooling capacity seems to be good enough. Instead some reviews about this making too much noise. Mine is not that bad and to be honest, it’s not in my bedroom, when I’m using it, usually the TV is on so I don’t hear it really. It’s not bad in my opinion. But if you’re planing on using it in the bedroom check the decibel level and see if you can handle it. Very easy to install, just connected the exhaust hose to the window. Had to touch up the window a little bit but almost all these portable ACs need some window modification. It also comes with a washable filter which is nice. Saves you some money on the long run. The wheels on the bottom are good adds and the unit is easy to move around the house. Easier if you have stone or hardwood flooring. Carpet is not as easy imo since it’s very heavy. Overall, it’s a well built AC and I’m happy with the purchase, I’ll come back next summer and update this with the cooling strength, that’s if it makes through this winter lol

A good investment
I’ve had it for quite a while now so I feel like I can give an honest and educated review. I really like this product. It’s been a lifesaver. The air gets super cool, sometimes to the point where you’ll get cold. And this is coming from a person who is always hot. The heat mode works very well, too. I use it everyday, and I work from home so sometimes it’s on all day. And it still works fine after a lot of use. The only thing that some people may view as negative is the noise level on some modes, but it’s actually a positive for me. I like a loud fan when I sleep to drown out any other noise. So overall, I really like this product and although it was a bit expensive, I’d say it was worth it. Especially since it has a heat mode and you can use it all year long, in any season. The heat mode really adds value. I was worried about how often i’d have to drain it, but honestly i’ve only had to drain it like once and i’ve owned it for at least a year now. Not sure why. The only other negative, when I first bought it, was the app. The app had some issues where I couldn’t use it and couldn’t connect it via Wifi to my Alexa or anything, but that issue was resloved after a while. It is very heavy but that’s to be expected. At least it has wheels.

I bought two
So, I moved, and am using these to maintain temp in the house while work is being done and I can manage/monitor them over the WiFi using the app on my phone. Set up was easy, connecting to the app was simple as well. The house is small, only 900 sq feet, but two of these keep the house at the desired temps. Downside is I had to install the drain lines, the small water collection vessels would fill up frequently and the heat would quit working. Every 6 hours they would be full and stop working. I now live 90 mins from this house, so with help from my mother in the area, we managed until I could install the drain lines. Overall, it does the job. Way quieter than window style units, but obviously louder than a traditional heat pump set up.

Shop around.
Ordered ac from Amazon. Just dropped off today. On opening, Box was trashed (good thing they had a lot of styrofoam), remote and instructions missing but it could have fallen anywhere because of box), Louvers were all popped out (need small hands, little bit of struggle but they did pop back in) window attachment not size of listing (instructions say cut down to size) and exhaust duct not connected to connection ring (was easy enough to thread back on but it's not very secured), App to demanding and invasive (it doesn't need all my info (surprised it didn't ask for body measurements) just to sync ac to wifi. Take a lesson from Maytronics). Went ahead n tested, a little noisy but still acceptable, Remote-couldnt test since it's missing. Heater... let's just say your better off disconnecting the vent duct if you want strong heat. Does it blow out to 6 meters as advertised? Nope....it is struggling to cover 12 ft (approx 4 meters). It barely cooled down a 144Sqft room. Overall I'm very disappointed...is it usable? Yes but is it worth buying? Probably not. Update: downgrade to 1 star. No response from Ukoke or Amazon after submitting 3 problem tickets. Unit is shutting off randomly now (yes I did check for water and it has been empty mostly).

Great little heat-pump
I got this on sale and it has been a life saver. I would rather have the "2-hose" version (one inlet and one outlet) variety, but I was able to set it up in a way that does not suck all the 'conditioned' air out in the process of delivering newly "condisioned" air. Works to a pretty low outside temp and keeps my outdoor shed above freezing on even the coldest nights. Being a heat-pump it provides cooling in the summer (I don't use that side), and heating inthe winter. I dould not have purchased this item if it were not on sale.

Good, but what's with all the water?
First off, AC works great. It blows really cold. It's perfect. It's kinda loud but I actually appreciate the noise. The heat and fan mode work great too. I never use the dehumidifier option because it seems to fill up with water regardless, which is where my issues come in. Both cooling AND heating fill up the water reservoir. Sometimes it can go a few days and be fine. Sometimes I'll have to empty it every 2 hours. Why is it creating water during the heating phase?!?! That's my biggest issue. Secondly I've never been able to get the thing connected to wifi to use the app, so that was a waste of money. If I could get the water under control I wouldn't really care about it wifi portion to be honest. It's great at heating and cooling from one machine. But it's also super annoying.

Very good unit
Update: I have been using this unit for just about 8 months. 1 summer and one winter. I generally heat my home strictly with my wood stove. The issue with this is having to get up in the middle of the night to add more wood. I have used this unit to heat my living room at night so I don’t have to get up as often to stoke the fire. To my pleasant surprise it heats up an area much larger than rated for. I find my self getting up less at night and using far less firewood to heat my home. As I said in my original post this is absolutely a good unit. I have had no issues with it and I use it almost every day, sometimes running 12 hours a day unattended. I would recommend this unit over a lot of brands name units and it is by far the least expensive of them all. I am extremely happy with it. This is actually a nice little unit. I have had absolutely no issues with it at all. IT is a lower amp machine which I was hoping for. The remote worked just fine. IT hooks up with my Alexa app and can turn it off and on with voice command. It’s a little difficult hooking up to the WiFi but all in all it’s-a great unit. I live in northern Az and it’s been miserably hot this past month. It has kept me comfortable. One of the draw back is the condensation. It will fill up 2 five gallon buckets of water on very humid days. I let it free drain into a bucket then empty the bucket. If I left the plug in I would have to turn the machine off every few hours and drain the water out. I find it much easier dumping a bucket. The only other drawback is it does not have an auto/eco mode which shuts it down when temp has been reached. But other that it’s a great unit and would recommend it for any family room or bedroom. I’ve only been using it for a couple months. I bought carbon filters to keep the unit cleaner inside and the house odor free. I use the cut your own kind and they have worked perfectly.

Works, but app frequently glitchy
Updated after 2 years: App sucks and is sometimes unusable. Over the last 2 years, the app has had "offline/Network connection" issues about 4 times for sometimes weeks/months at a time. You cannot even login to remove/readd the unit. The unit cannot be automated/timed without the app, but the manual remote still works. There is NO SUPPORT for it. Eventually it does seem to correct itself. 100% do not recommend this unit if you need timing capability. Manual remote still works. ************** Firstly, the unit itself works great! I installed it in my 450sqft garage home gym, which is not insulated only on 1 outer wall and the garage door itself. During an Arizona summer (110°F) and monsoon season (70% humidity), this unit can only cool my garage to about 76°F at max cool (60°F for 2hr). So it is a bit undersized for 450sqft, but for the cost and features (smart/heat/cool/dehumidifier) I'm not complaining. For a small room or bedroom, it works great. The dehumidifier kicks butt! That alone does a great job at making the garage more comfortable. I LOVE the Alexa compatibility. I have her turn the AC on an hour before I wake up and the garage is cool and ready to go first thing in the morning. It is very noisy, but if you know anything about these units, it's to be expected. Feels well built and good quality. The app is basic and lacking, but it gets the job done. I installed the vent to the outside of my garage and now have a hose that drains the moisture tank outside as well. Zero maintenance! Haven't tried the heating feature yet, but looking forward to using it in the winter.
