Best deal out there
I use these daily in a mechanic shop and they are just as good as the tool truck brands that the other guys have and made in the US at a fraction of the cost. I mostly use these for things like prying stubborn axles out of transmissions or de-pressing clutches to remove belts and they've held up great. I actually like the handles better than the tool truck stuff. The only issue I've had is that the "Dominator" logo started rubbing off almost immediately just from holding it in my hand but this is not a functional issue and these still get 5 stars for the price and quality. *update after a year and half* Still using these every single day with no issues. As with any pry bar that's been bashed on for this long the tips are a little mushroomed but other than that they're still like new as far as function. I've hammered them into spots where they were slightly bent up against the frame of a vehicle and they come back to true and haven't broken so the steel is really good. The striker caps and handles are not torn or damaged at all and I still think these feel better in the hand than any of the tool truck pry bars I've used. Mayhew makes certain tools like punches for Snap-on and I also have some of their air hammer bits for roll pins that are super high quality. These prybars are definitely intended for everyday use. One of my favorite tool purchases for the price

FINALLY!—my first straight-tipped pry-bar
First off, Dominator is a sick name for a pry-bay, and for MANY years I have been wanting one. Always told myself to get one...but I didn't. Why? Because I was an idiot. SO, after performing many, MANY transmission recalls (I work at a Dealership) requiring the removal of hard-to-get-to axles, I forced myself to buy this tool, which became the RIGHT tool for the job Haha! Seriously: Mayhew's Dominator has a thick, well-made handle WITH one of those metal bottoms against which you can use a hammer. The pry-bar also has a sweet balance of heavy-weight and light-ease. Like, not too light, not THAT heavy, but it gets the job done with every use. I have been using Craftsman angle-tipped pry-bars all my mechanic life. They're amazing. Naturally I looked for a Craftsman first. When I saw Mayhew's Dominator, I bought it right away—HAHA! (impulsive much?)—and I was a little afraid this thing was gonna be a cheap piece of garbage, when in fact The Dominator is an amazing STRAIGHT-tipped pry-bar. I hope anyone reading this will enjoy it just as much.

Strong, well built
Great beater flathead, I've had it now about 2-3 years and I was literally beating the heck out of it the other day sideways down yada yada, probably will never have to replace.

Great straight set
Very versatile when you need them. Essentially an oversized screwdriver. Mayhew always makes a good looking pry bar. These are very durable. These perform well when you need a straight pry bar. Update with specialty pry bars, these things will be an excellent addition to the collection I already have.

These are worth spending a little extra on.
Mayhew still makes their tools in the USA, out of quality steel. You could probably buy four of five cheap chinesium prybars from Harbor Freight for the cost of one of these, but, if you value your knuckles or your teeth, these are a stone-cold bargain, tough, resiliant and worth every penny. The striking face is great too, you can wail on these with a hammer without fear of the handle disintegrating at an inopportune moment.

Using this tool a plenty with some force and cannot fault it. Totally recommend this tool for your tool box. Contemplating on a purchase of its big brother the 17'' Dominator

Very high quality. I've really hit these, hard, and hang off them, and they're still good as new. Fairly cheap too. Should last a lifetime.

Absolutely love the mayhew dominator straight tipped pry bars. Only wish I could buy a full set on Amazon Australia. One thing to note is the tip is a lot thicker at the end than a screwdriver or regular pry bar. Guessing this is their way of preventing the tip breaking off. These straight tips tend to allow access where a regular bent tip won't fit. A must have, and well price. The handles are great and fit the hand more comfortably that the old or new snap on style handles.

So far I have used this pry bar for about a week it has held up pretty good , I gave it a good flogging trying to remove a starter motor and it held up pretty good . Obviously I’m not trying to break it … used it to lever some stuff as well and didn’t bend , handle is good enough nothing special good for the price. I’m located In Australia and it came in about a week. Would recommend to others in the industry
