My dogs enjoy this cooling bandana. It helps on the hot days but it isn't enough for the really hot days. I got them a couple of Chill Out cooling vests to go with the bandanas. The two coolers together work very well.

I took my pup on his first hike this week and he did really well with this cooling neck wrap. Summer time is rough for my Boston terrier because of the heat but this neck wrap probably doubled the time he could be outside. I don’t think it would stay cold for long in very hot weather but for this low 80s overcast day in the mountains, he was able to hike for about 2 hours with some breaks. It definitely helps to put it in the freezer for a while before using. The first time I used it, I didn’t do that, and so adding in at least 10 min in the freezer was a game changer. In our 2 hours of hiking i re-wet it 2 times.

Ok, so it honestly took me a while to figure out how to use this product. I bought it to help my dog stay cool when we had several days above 90°F. But no matter how much I soaked it in water, it was dry 2 minutes into our walk. I was so frustrated that I almost returned it. After reading several reviews, I decided to soak it in cold water, wring it a little to keep it from dripping, seal it in a ziploc freezer bag, and store it in the freezer. Honestly, a few minutes was all it needed, and it stayed chilly for a good portion of our walk. My dog hates water (in general), and she puts up with this bandana. However, consider that this process could potentially also work for a regular cloth bandana.

I left this in my freezer for a few days and on the way to the trail, I kept it in a cooler. It never really got cold and the cold that it food have went away in a few minutes. It's very thin.

I live in the extreme heat of AZ, and have bought a few of the All Paws Cooling Chill Out bandanas. They stay cold for a while, but tend to dry out quickly, and after a few uses the velcro came apart. This time around I purchased the Expawlorer Bandana, seems to stay very cold and wet much longer and is stretchy which make them adjustable, all important features living in extreme temps.

If you want a quick and easy product for you pet - this is the best item to buy for the summer or anytime for an overheating period. My mother does not have central air and we were worried about “Cowboy”. I read the reviews and decided to try this, as trying to keep him on a cooling mat may not be as easy. He went from panting to still in about 30 seconds. In about 5 minutes he was asleep after a restless night before. I will be buying more just for rotation of use. It only takes about 10 minutes to wet and I threw in the freezer to do maximum strength cooling.

This neck wrap is easy to put on with the Velcro design. Simply soak in the sink so the gel absorbs water then attach around the neck. I had owned one of these before but misplaced it in the house and was too lazy to look for it while packing for my trip. (Amazon prime saves my butt every time!) This second time around I bought 2 different brands at the same time, but found this one more convenient and practical so haven't used much the other which seems like nothing more than a wet piece of cloth (this brand has some kind of gel- I am assuming similar to the ones that I use myself and by the military) I especially like the shape which allows the thicker part to lay on her shoulders whereas the bandana style cloths are just a ring around the neck. I would occasionally pour some more water on it as needed when hiking and it has helped tremendously walking around here in Palm Springs which so far has averaged between 104-115 degrees which is supposedly cooler than normal at this time of year ha ha (I had to carry her when I felt the pavement was too hot downtown though-no worries!)

The bandana does help to cool my dogs down and its a decent product however I only used it 2 times and when I went to separate the velcro from its opposing part, the velcro stitching came off the entire bandana. Now the bandana is rendered useless unless I go out of my way to stitch it back on, which I shouldn't have to do. Wasted my money. I haven't tried it yet, but I think a regular bandana frozen in the freezer and then tied around a dog's neck would probably achieve the same effect.

A must have for hot summer days. We bought this for boating excursions, and it’s awesome we could just take it off, dunk it in the lake and it will chill right back down again!

Purchased this for my little Chipoo for the hot summers. It is now the second summer I am using it. Keeps him perfectly cool all day when we are out, as long as I soak it every once in awhile. Found that a cooling vest was too much for him as he would end up shivering. But this little bandana is perfect. Actually have used it so much that the velcro is starting to wear out. Will be getting a new one for next summer.

I think these are a great idea for the warmer days. My Frenchie gets hot easily so this will be used as quick cool down on those days. I’m happy with my purchase. However I bought it early ready for Summer and still waiting for those warmer days to truly test it

It does help my Boston Terrier when walking outside this summer.
