Japanese Futon Mattress CLASSE Queen Made in Japan White, Foldable Floor Sleeping Bed Tatami Mat

This floor mattress is so comfortable- I think it is more comfortable than a typical bed or sofa for sleeping. I would recommend using a waterproof mattress protector and fitted sheet (regular full size fits the full mattress) as a cover. For a while I used to try to always use the slip cover (the zipper one that covers both sides) but it is too much of a pain in my opinion, especially if you are frequently changing the linens for young kids. I lay this atop a wool rug, and fold it up during the day. The full size easily folds into quarters and it can be stored behind a sofa. If you have a double bed it can also be stored as a topper. It’s a super comfy spot to watch movies and also great extra bed. I put it out in the sun sometimes to air it out. I have had three of these over years and can vouch for this model and brand. My cats also love it, we went without one for a short bit and they were so excited when the new one came in. The only downfall and reason I have had to repurchase is if you have pets or kids that have accidents- it is somewhat cleanable with an upholstery vacuum and enzyme cleaner along with sunning but at a certain point I just say ‘enough’ and replace it.

Great futon, great for sleeping on hard floors

Good, just not as thick as advertised and not that supportive. I used it as a topper on top of my old one, on top of my mattress. Slightly more in cost then I think it should be. Would make a good pet bed for a small or medium sized animal.

I don’t have a negative thing to say. I’ll just give you some backstory. I have bought ship- to-home mattresses, slept on my couch, slept on cots and even blowup mattresses. Nothing worked as far as getting a good night’s rest. Of course every body is different, but I needed something firmer that wouldn’t hurt my back or my hips. I’m sure I probably could’ve shelled out a few thousand dollars for something like a sleep number, but that was way out of my budget. So I decided to tap into my ancestral roots and buy a real futon. It works for generations of my relatives, so why not me? I’m glad I made the leap because I no longer wake up with a sore back! For Westerners, it will likely seem weird sleeping right on the floor but it’s no problem for me. And as far as getting out of bed from the floor, since my back doesn’t hurt, it’s not a problem. My body feels great! This is exactly what I needed. arigatou gozaimasu! どうもありがとうございます The only thing I would add, is that the perfect night’s rest comes with this futon, and a buckwheat pillow, the common pillow used in Japan as well. But that’s a different product.

I use the mattress on top of a tatami mat and then I put a memory foam mattress topper on top. I have scoliosis and degenerative disk disease and I am able to sleep without muscle relaxers and my body just feels better. It was worth saving for ! The next thing I’m saving for to buy is the durable bed frame. When the mattress came it was sealed all tight and was clean and aired right up when I fluffed it. The tatami mat is amazing too but I think that was another seller I’m not sure 🤔 either way I LOVE it thank you so much. I’ve had it for about a month now and it’s the same thickness and everything. I’ve slept on numerous futons and this isn’t the type of futon you can find in Japan. I moved here from Japan and wanted to get a futon because we couldn’t ship ours. This is just like a thick sleeping bag. It’s flat and thin. I tried to air it out and let the air go in to fluff it up for more than 10 days. I’ll do this daily to really try to fluff it up but it’s still flat as ever. We had to spend more money to buy another mattress. Very uncomfortable. You can feel the floor underneath you and you can neck and back pain after 2 weeks. It’s expensive for what you can get in Japan. I don’t recommend.

Im never one to post reviews... however... im 50/50 happy with this product. The profiled urethane version from a different manufacturer is a much better version than this particular item. Its decent but youll need an underlying foam base for it to be comfortable... and even with a foam underbase... its still a little to firm. I decided to buy this because I have been unhappy with the firmness of my foam mattress and I liked that it was handmade in Japan which conveys a high quality product for me. I slept on it for the first time last night and I had the best sleep in a long time! The mattress is FIRM, just what I wanted. It is very well made and it looks good. I have it on top a bed frame so I won’t be putting it away, but if I had to, the mattress is very manageable. It is pricier than some of the others but for me, I think it’s worth it

追記:2018年の頃に購入した時は6000円半ばの値段でしたが、値上がりしたんですね。 床敷きで使っています。買った初日から薄くて寝心地が悪いマットレスでした。 安さとレビューの多さで買ったのが間違いでした。圧縮タイプでしたが、非圧縮タイプでも大して変わらないと思います。 開封してしまいましたが、本当は返品返金をしてほしいぐらい後悔しています。 安物買いの銭失いとはこのことだと思いました。次にマットレスを買う時は必ず多少高くても我慢して、厚みがある物を買おうと思います。
