Easy oil to apply and a little goes a long way. I have used it on my cutting boards and it soaked in as it has been a long time since I did this. I used this to oil my canning bands to prevent them from rusting. It really does have a smell and it is good quality oil. I keep finding more uses for it and it helps with cleaning the wood.

My grandfather was really big into woodworking. He made us toys, furniture, kitchen items, the works. The one thing he never did was stain or poly the wood. He always left it in its natural state. That being said, anyone who works with wood knows that it'll eventually dull without the poly coat. I bought this to bring all of the toys he made me as a kid back to life. Let me tell you, they looked like the day I got them. I also got the cradle that he made when I was born. It hadn't seen the light of day for about 15 years and was in serious need of help. The bottle of mineral oil arrived with a seal under the cap that you need to Peel off. I read reviews of other brands where the oil leaked in the packaging but this was not a problem. There is no scent in the oil and it seems to work well. My cutting board looks great and the colour is deeper and it seems more waterproof now.

No smell, looks clean, and it works as expected on my cutting boards. Since it's a food grade mineral oil, I also use it to oil my Kitchen Aid pasta cutter.
