I bought this heating pad to help with a flare up in lower back pain. It gets HOT! One side is warm (with the foam insert), the other side is hot (without foam insert on this side). I like being able to choose which side I want to use based on how warm I want the heat to be. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and it noticeably helps to ease my tight muscles in lower back. If you read about heat therapy for back pain, it’s actually really good for breaking the pain and tightness cycle in non-acute injuries (you don’t want to use heat immediately after an injury on the first 2-3 days). Obviously consult with your physician for personalized recommendations. But for me, this has become a solid part of my back pain relief regimen. The size is great because it’s not too small and not too big, perfect for targeting a lot of heat to go to a small to moderate sized area. So far the quality seems good, still works great 2 weeks in. You absolutely cannot beat the price. I’ve already gotten $15 of use out of it in 2 weeks, so if it did break, I wouldn’t even be mad for how low the price is. I’m going to order a second one to keep at my work. No strange smell. There also isn’t a timer, it stays on, and the heat is strong and consistent on the high setting. The directions do say you’re not supposed to lay on it, but I do and haven’t had any problems. I just wouldn’t fall asleep with it on. Overall, a fantastic buy.

It gets pretty hot on high setting. Warm on low. Wish there was an in-between setting because I use mine for animals like a sick chicken, sick cat, or baby chicks that need additional warmth and for eggs that are hatching. Have to be careful on high setting and watch closely you do not over heat an animal. On low setting it sometimes doesnt seem warm enough for a chicken because their body temp is high anyway(100 to 105) High setting can get too warm and low setting not warm enough. I know this isnt made for an animal but still would be nice to have a medium setting. Just thought I'd share this in case someone else needs heat for an animal that won't chew the cord or pad and was considering this heating pad. You may want to choose one with a medium heat setting that stays on til you turn it off. Its hard to find one like that these days, esp one thats more affordable and it actually gets warm enough!

My primary search was for a pad that did not either shut off after two hours or require me to press multiple buttons to override the default and fine-tune the heat. I also needed a longer than average pad that would cover my entire back horizontally from side to side. This pad, at 12"X24", with stay-on switch and just a high/low sliding switch seemed perfect until I read a number of reviews that complained that the "high" setting was too hot, not hot enough, not constant, etc. Even the manufacturer advised placing padding between the user and the pad; there was also a caution against placing the pad under any part of the user's body. I took a chance, anyway. I've only used it two nights, but am confident that I can place it indefinitely under my back set on "high" with no padding other than my shirt and the pad's own lining. I comfortably reduce the setting to "low" and wrap it around a bad knee for a full night's sleep. A bonus for me is that the switch is so simple: A red light for high heat and a green light for low heat. Slide past the green light and the pad turns off. It seems well made; all the edges are sealed and there is no bulky cord connection at the pad. The cord length is the standard I expected.

This is a small heating pad that I like the foam insert that makes it softer or could give steam heat and the removable cover is soft. So far, it's working fine. I chose this one because it stays on until I turn it off and the manual controls are easier to manage in the dark without glasses than digital. However, after using a couple times, I realized it gets way too hot on the lowest setting. It's fine if you use it for a few minutes, but longer use may cause burning. Since I got it for my cat to sit on, it won't suit my needs, but I'll keep it for short-session muscle relief. Do not use this on a small child, elderly, or handicapped person unattended because of how hot it becomes!

Perfect for back ache and warming my feet on cooler morning

I yoga strap this pad to my knee when it’s acting up, and the healing heat gets me through the night. My old pad only stayed on 2-hours, and then I’d wake up from knee pain again. I’m so thankful I was still able to find a heating pad that stays in all night. I hope the manufacturer never stops making this product. My only wish is that the pad was softer, but it’s still a 5-star product. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Funciona muy bien buena temperatura pero le tuvimos que cambiar el forro porque es de una tela exageradamente caliente
