Yes. But it is a complete waste of money. Wont start when it should, and cant shut it down have to wait till it shuts down on it own.

No it can't be used in ears. It is for oral use, anual or under armpits.

Any thermometers truly made in UK?

Not sure of its origin but when I used it during my Covid-19 illness, it did just the same job as the hospital one considering I'm a health professional.
