Update: 10/1/17: Our bodies are NOT deficient in pharmaceuticals, they are deficient in nutrients. A drug might correct a problem, but underneath, you have to have specific nutrition to fix your body, otherwise you might be on that drug forever. By nutrients, I mean MINERALS, and secondarily, the vitamins that use the minerals to do the work in your body. I began using this product to address adrenal fatigue/thyroid problems (if you have one, you also have the other). I am back to having normal energy, and focus (and that is something of a miracle to me, because I've been "tired" for the past 16 years. It was a mineral deficiency. It's hard to articulate what this product does for me. I would say it revs up my system (and I have proof of that in a hair tissue mineral analysis), but I can't really prove it. I do know it made a difference to my body, because in order to correct my mineral deficiencies, I added back the minerals one by one, that it made a difference. Dr. Carolyn Dean, author of the Magnesium Miracle, had an Internet article about "Balancing Adrenals and Thyroid", and also "Your Thyroid needs 9 Minerals", that have proven to make a HUGE difference in my energy. Dean is blunt: Adrenal fatigue/Thryoid problems are linked to a mineral deficiency. Having nothing to lose, and a means to measure my minerals (Iodine is NOT measured, BTW, I understand it's very hard to measure), I started upping my minerals, and a mere 4 months later, I feel ever so much better. My long term exhaustion seems to be a thing of the past; this mineral is one of many that served to give me back me "ooomph". The RDA is way too low for this mineral, and my system seems very happy with 12.5mg a day. I'm sticking with it. About a month ago, I purchased this product (the 6.25mg version). I was trying to correct mineral deficiencies stemming from adrenal/thyroid problems. The issues have impacted my daily routine to a large degree (one of the stages of adrenal fatigue). I started with one, then worked up to two capsules. I felt a bit better, but still not great At first, I felt the mineral when it hit my system; but I don't notice it any longer. I know some have said Iodine in large doses will help them; but I wanted to build up my system with minerals on a more gradual basis. I am trying to see what works for my body, and I started with magnesium. After magnesium, which helped, I went to boron (helped my arthritis pain, and made me feel "whole"), sodium (gave me some staying power), silica (helps my bones, and teeth). I chose Iodine, next to last, and I'm a little low in potassium also, so I'm building that in slowly. As I stated in the earlier review, I don't notice that energy everyone else does on this mineral, however, my continuing total exhaustion which seemed to jump out of nowhere (which I learned to mask with topical magnesium) was always lurking in the shadows. Now, it seems that the complete exhaustion has been muted to some degree (some days are great, but some days are not). However, I'm forcing myself to go to bed on time, regardless, and take naps when I'm tired (more often that I'd like to admit). This is way too important a health issue for me to play with, and I'm determined to address it via a natural (vs a "just take this prescription of X"). I have noticed, however, that my body tempature is higher (not that I'm cold), and I haven't checked, but I think my metabolism is speeding up. In addition to minerals, I'm doing other things (whole body vibration helps you build human growth hormone, which helps thyroid) This formulation has Potassium Iodide and Sodium Iodide, and elemental Iodine. Your body needs all three, and women need it more than men. I will say I feel about 50 percent better most days; and I attribute this product to some of that improvement. I do have expectations that I will get my normal energy back, and resume normal activities. However, it won't be overnight, nor do I expect it to be. I do expect to be taking this for the next several months at this dosage or slightly more (under 20mg). If I use more Iodine, likely I will use Lugol's topically as an experiment.

I love Terry natural products.it seems to be a good quality products. There products are sometimes a little costly, but I don’t know what it takes to produce it. I feel like with them I get great quality products.

Iodine health and supplementation is not something that gets much coverage these days- but as a result, due to low ingestion levels compared with say, the Japanese, and high levels of toxic halogens in our environment (flour with brominated dough conditioners, for example- banned in the EU for over 20 years), many are surprised to find how poorly their thyroid related metabolic panels are doing, including free thyroxine (T4), which is the foundation for the synthesis of T3 in various forms that actually works with key organs in the body, especially reproductive organs in both men and women. One of my middle age nephews and his wife have terrible levels in this regards, and don't understand why his 73 year old uncle (me) is in an optimum range of the green zone... Do your research, and I believe you will find like I did that this is a very intelligently formulated product.
