Because they are trying to make a buck out of people that don't know they can get free shipping directly from the ordinary. It's not priced $17 here on Amazon, but the Ordinary has had it at $7.70 since I started using this last year. So annoying.

Can I use this product on day time?

yes ! i use it every day along with my sunscreen :)

Can I use this as a night cream?

Yes, that's how I use it. I take just a little bit and mix it with a serum (a mix of a few drops of 10% lactic acid and niacinamide) and it's lovely! During the day it's always best to use something with SPF, so moisturizers like this are better to use at night.
