Proper method is to dissolve into water before applicantion (dissolves rapidly) then stir a little just to get a good consitancy of mix .. that solution then can be spayed or poured

How much fertilizer would I use in a 1.5 gallon watering can for soil application on trees?

It all depends on how often to apply, how large an area to apply, how old the plant/tree, and how fast to get the intended results. I am using several similar 20-20-20 fertilizes. I found the suggested ratio of 2 table spoons to 1 gallon water does not produce significant, noticeable results, therefore I use higher ratio, double the amount, for my daily applications for all of my plants/trees, such as flowering plants. fruit trees, giant redwood forest, and towering Monterey Cypress trees. They are fast growing, lush green and very healthy.
