They absolutely can be used together! We recommend applying the Vitamin C Serum first followed by the Retinol Moisturizer.

How does this cream differ from the serum?

While both the serum and moisturizing cream contain 2.5% retinol, we developed the separate products to offer choices for incorporating the long known benefits of retinol into your skincare routine. If you already have a favorite facial moisturizer, simply apply Retinol Serum underneath it. If you prefer a two-in-one product (serum+moisturizer), our new lightweight Retinol Moisturizer is the perfect alternative. We recommend starting off by applying any retinol product just a few days a week and working up to more often over time.

What is the exact Ingredient list? And are the ingredients listed in order from highest content amount to lowest?

The Pentylene Glycol listed in the ingredient list appears to be a binding agent used to stabilize and thicken product , usually synthetically derived. It can cause minor irritation to the eyes and skin in some people from the data I've found. I have sensitive skin so I will look for another Retinol product. I am a little bummed as the other ingredients in this seem to look good.
