Can the middle pump section be rotated 90 degrees to make it a side discharge (keeping strainer and motor sections in same orientation)?

did this also...4 bolts connect the motor to the pump....remove, rotate pump to desired discharge position, reconnect....takes 10 mins....$303 by mail or $864 in pool store...i'll do the 10 min job....ANYONE can do this if you own a tool

What hose is needed for this pump?

I got a 1.5 pool filter hose like 3' hose and 2 couplings for the pump out and filter in..these are 1.5 threaded male couplings on one side...on the other side I used clamps to secure the hose.Hope this will help you

Yes, this comes with the power cord.  The TL model has the Twist lok plug, please note Amazon's description is incorrect, the TL cord is only 3' long.

I have this pump and need a filtration system to use with it for a small 15 ft pool. Any recommendations?

I have a 15' round, 54" deep above ground pool that I bought from a local pool store. They installed it s well. I was given a 1HP pump by Waterway. I never had any problem with sand being blown into the pool, and though there was some rotation in the pool, it was far from a whirlpool. It kept the leaves & debris in the center of the pool, which made it easier to clean. That was 6 years ago, & my Waterway just died. I just replaced it with this pump. It's supposed to be arriving Tuesday, so I can't comment on any differences. I can tell you that the pool company gave me a TWM 19 diameter sand filter, & it's been just fine for us. I hope this helps!
