Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale

I love stupid cheesy movies. I love the Another Cinderella Story and all those horrifically acted, poorly written, overly sentimental movies. I dig them. they're light and fun and enjoyable for me when I don't want to think too much because real life is so hectic and stressful.This one was atrocious. It wasn't cheesy, it was deluded. It wasn't poorly written, it was basically just text autofill. Even the sentimental moments failed because the "acting" if you could call it that and the "writing" were so bad, you feel nothing... And I cry during certain commercials.I forced myself to sit through the first 35mins, scanned ahead a bit, tried again, scanned again, caught the "climax" and the ending, all of it just as bad as everything else. I hoped maybe some music would save it... it didn't. Mediocre to flat out bad singers and music throughout.

I wouldn't say it's the best in the world or anything. It was CLEARLY made for pre-teens and maybe teens, which is both its greatest strength and its biggest problem. If cliche were a tree, it'd hit every single branch on the way down, and a few of them twice. There was no doubt in my mind it was designed specifically with that in mind, so it accomplishes exactly what it set out to do. That's why it got three stars.Aside from that, it's certainly not awful. The acting is fairly poor, as expected of a movie geared towards pre-teens, and the plot is about as predictable as you can get, but it's cute. And, as with all Cinderella movies, it has a happy ending and a good message, plus some fairly good music if you're into country. The main character does have a genuinely nice voice (assuming it's actually hers).So, it's not going to win any awards, but it's decent for what it is.

Every little girl should see this one. It teaches that you should always listen to your heart and dreams. Never let anyone tell you you can't do anything you set your mind to! God gives everyone their own unique, special talent. Education is the main thing. I saw a young boy on TV the other day on Joel Osteen. He wanted a college education more than anything, but his family was so poor that they could not afford it. He got good grades in school and managed to obtain 3.2 million dollars worth of schlorships. If you set you mind to something, don't let anyone tell you you can't do it. Elle finally learned that lesson and all of her dreams came true and had the love of her Prince. Always let God guide your steps and Fairey Tales will come true, it could happen to you. Ashley Hewitt and Sterling Knight did and EXCELLENT job in this one. Everyone should grab a bowl of popcorn and watch this one on family night. You will never regret it!

The worst Cinderella I've ever seen: infantile, lousy script, poor acting, amazingly poor casting of actors, noisy (not a good noisy).

Kinda cheesy and the acting was terrible through most of the movie. But even so I quite enjoyed it. It's a feel good movie for one of those days when you just want to curl up on the couch and not think too much about what you are watching. And the music is decent.Definitely more geared towards the your crowed but i enjoyed it. Made me feel like a kid again.

Rather and interesting take on Cinderella. Good clean movie for kids. Bought this for my young family members. The three drama queens are campy, over the top and funny. It's not as well written as it could have been but the youngsters asked me to buy it so they could see it again some time. The reference to Cinderella is vague but there. The acting is good enough to entertain the children.

If it weren't for the boyfriend and best friend, it would have been unbearable. The spoofiness did not get carried off.

Clearly targeted to younger teens. Not great but not bad. Parents will like it. The acting is weak at times, not bad sometimes. Entertaining and probably inspiring to children, but not done well enough to inspire adults.

it's ok but I have seen better

The movie was very good and I enjoy watching it. My friends also like it and will recommend others to watch the video.

Ich stehe auf solche Filme deshalb bin ich vorbelastet. Die Handlung ist eigentlich schnell erzählt. Ein junger Superstar kommt und trifft ein junges Mädchen was ihn fasziniert weiß aber nicht wer sie ist und sucht sie verzweifelt. Dann gibt es natürlich auch wider die Mädchen die eifersüchtig sind und tun alles damit er nicht erfährt das sie nur die Praktikantin ist. Alles wie bekannt aber trotzdem sehenswert alleine schon wegen der schönen Lieder.

Ich bin eine hoffnungslos romantische Kitsch-Cinderella-Fulm-Liebhaberin... ABER...Dieser Film ist einfach nur MÜLL!Fremdschämen hoch 10 - ich denke, dass selbst den Schauspielern dieser Film peinlich ist!Finger weg!

While this movie is not made of gold, it was exactly as advertised. :) Came on time and was in good condition.
