It is perfect cookie butter! It is smooth , but has the thickness of peanut butter. I got the regular size because I had never used this product before. Shelf life is normal for any spread, mine didn’t last long since I used it for a recipe and my kids loved it! Container is plastic with a night tight lid , so no chance to leak .
