Packs nicely and is a pleasure to use.
I've had the rod for about a year and a half now and it is great. I've packed it for trips where I would use a light surf rod. It performs well and is a very reasonably priced rod. I would definitely recommend it.

Pleasantly surprised
I am an avid fresh and saltwater fisherman and normally do not post or review. I bought this rod for a trip to Hawaii and first impressions are very good. Paired with a Saragosa 6000 it is about perfect. Looking forward to using it and feel this is a very exceptional and capable rod for the price. Will see how it does put to use, but I am very picky and the quality is equal to alot of my high end salt water rods. So far this gets a 5 star rating based on cost to portability.

Nice rod, well protected.
I'm very impressed with this rod. I paired it up with a nice micro reel and have caught some decent size bass with it. I keep it behind my back seat so will always have it with me.

It worked, but.
My son used it for salmon fishing in Alaska. It worked for him, but I would recommend a 9ft 9 weight fly rod instead. I used a Remington path, an it definitely had more feel to it.

Rod snapped first time it was used
I bought this rod it snapped 6” from the top first time I used it. Ad says it has one year warranty but I couldn’t return it after 30 days from purchase date. How can I return this under warranty?

This worked great for Salmon fishing in Alaska. Was easy to pack in my duffle. It is a good value for the price.
