Retaine PM Nighttime Lubricant Eye Ointment 5g (2 Pack)

Not perfect, but does its advertised job. Put a small amount under eyelids each night and prevents dryness the next day a lot. Easy to use (as much as reasonably possible) Causes some weird stuff like very mild headaches next morning while driving if you use too much oddly (and not even consistently), but the benefits far outweigh the cons and I dont think they could do anything to stop that. It's the difference between pain + 8 eyedrops a day, to more like 3 or 4, sometimes less. Plus less pain from the dryness

I have extremely dry eyes. I was using lubricating eye drop at and increasing rate and they were not helping that much. Since my Dr. put me on to this product, I have been able to reduce my use of eye drops to almost nothing. It takes a while to reduce eye irritation. It took me several weeks of use to arrive at full effectiveness. I think that for me this is a quality product at a reasonable price.

The ointment is great; have been using it for years. The packaging however, was awful. The boxes holding the tubes were all smashed. Fortunately, the tubes themselves remained intact.

I struggle with dry eye and this product helps decrease that gritty feeling when you wake up

This ointment was recommended by my ophthalmologist for my dry eyes. I used it two nights. First of all, I didn’t like the feel of it in my eyes. After the second night, my eyes were very irritated and I had discontinue using it. There must have been something in the ointment that caused an allergic reaction. Since he came in a two pack and is very expensive, I attempted to return it, but was told it was not eligible for return. I am very disappointed.

Retaine is a brand I found I can use with my skin type, and this keeps my eyes moist all night long, and during the day. It does as it says.
