Good quality filter
Let be WIX filters, just prefer them over many others. Comparable to NAPA Gold and other quality filters.

Country of Origin Doesn’t Always Mean Better Quality
It turns out the new one I got is made in Mexico. The old one is made in the USA. It doesn’t really bother me. I actually like the one made in Mexico—it has more holes than the one made in the USA. Better oil flow → oil spreads faster through the filter Less pressure restriction when the engine is cold Can help the bypass valve stay closed, meaning more oil actually gets filtered Smoother oil circulation at startup Fits correctly Has a silicone anti-drainback valve Is from a reputable brand!!!

fits the 2015 gmc sierra with the 5.3
this will fit the 5.3L on my 2015 gmc pick up. i usually use fram (i like the grippy bottom of the fram synthetic extended mileage gold version). yep, i have heard the rumors, but as with most of my decisions, i am driven mostly by price. the wix was a good deal on here so i thought i'd try it. best thing i have done for the truck is to disable the AFM. i think that will have more of an impact than which filter i am using. hopefully i will leave an update in the future about how this filter reached the next oil change interval without issue.

Looks like a step back in quality and not Made in the USA
Not impressed with the packaging and the fact this filter is no longer made in the USA. There is nothing preventing contaminants entering the filter during shipping once the box decides it has had enough. Wixx could at least put a plastic wrap on the open end, like Toyota does with their filters.

Arrived in great shape

Tests show they are a good filter and I would agree. Wish it was like k&n with a nut on the bottom. Will buy again
