Great bright, wide, long lasting light
As an owner of four Nekteck 4 LED 200 lumen solar spotlights I was asked to review their new 10 LED spotlight with 260 lumens. I tried to take a couple of comparison pictures of their brightness โ posted with my comments here โ but I donโt know if that side-by-side really tells the story. By the way, the 4 LED is on the left. For lack of better terms, I will call the 4 LED light the old and the 10 LED light the new. The old light is plenty bright for the spot applications Iโm using them for, and Iโm very happy with the brightness, the width of the beam and the longevity of the light at night after being in the sun. The light beam is round like a flashlight might be and projects out a good solid 18-20 feet. Typically, the light lasts until about 2:00 in the morning (donโt ask). The new light is slightly brighter (as one would think with the extra lumens), and a lot wider of a beam to almost a rectangle. The spot distance is not perhaps as long as old, at about 15-18 feet. I am blown away by the duration of the spot โ one lasted until 4:30 in the morning (again, donโt ask) and the other lasted literally until the rising sun got bright and the sensor got light on it. Iโm just utterly amazed. And it isnโt a fluke, those results are consistent over the day cycles since I received the new spots. Also, the stand-up stake configuration is taller for the new light, which for one of my applications will be great to get the solar panel substantially up above foliage to improve charging. There is good adjustability on both, however, the new light seems to have a more steady and tighter positional control. I think both lights are great and should both (4 LED and 10 LED) Nekteck units be available to purchase the buying decision would come down to your need for narrow-round beam or a wider rectangular beam. And perhaps the duration of light projection as an influencer. I recommend both as being worthy of your money.

Great quality, bright, and a good value to boot
The build quality is great and the LEDs are bright (but not too bright if you don't want them to be - that's the beauty of this device having 2 brightness functions). They are on the warm end of the spectrum, but somewhat artificially warm if that makes sense. Also, as you can see in my pictures, there's an odd white center to the light that comes off. Not a big deal to me, but might be to some. I intend on using these for camping. These lights seem like they will definitely do the job. I can't say how they will hold up under a storm, but it's raining out now, so we'll see! I'll update my review once I get my results after tonight. The box came with everything you need and the product is easy to assemble. All accessories are provided, but I will not be using them, so I can't attest to their quality. The solar panels seem to be of good quality and the auto light/dark sensor is responsive. My only dislike about this product is the placement of the on/off/brightness button and the force needed to engage it. Again, definitely not a deal breaker. All in all I'd totally buy these again - definitely worth the price.

Like the warm white - all worked out of the box
I spent hours searching for reliable, warm white color solar land scape lighting and so far are satisfied with these units. They appear to be well made and put out a decent amount of light although not as bright as wired landscape lighting. The light color is warm white albeit a little yellowish to a trained eye but not noticeable when pointed at shrubs or trees. Like any solar option and depending on your yard setup, you may have limitations where you can place these as shade won't charge the battery via attached mini solar panel. My units receive 1/2 day full sun and last at least 3-4 hours (haven't been able to stay awake to check). Do know the stakes are plastic and will stay in the ground if you move them around. I was thinking of gluing them to the unit to avoid losing the stakes if I ever do need to move to another location in the yard. Overall, satisfied and will post an update as have only had for 1 week.

WOW! Is the word!
I had looked at these lights as a possibility for our back yard illumination. I received a Amazon lightning deal alert and decided to buy them. They were easy to assemble by turning two thumb screws, one to extend the solar panel, and the second to adjust the light height. They have a sturdy feel and when we went outside to look at them after dark we were amazed at the amount of light even on the low setting. They last all night long and we left them on the low setting. Highly recommend them! I have purchased six sets of these lights for a total of 24 lights. I have had them under constant use at two locations. At our cabin in Idyllwild, California at 6,200 ft elevation, and subject to lingering winter snow, we have 6 deployed. At our home in Banning, California at 2,500 ft elevation, we have 18 deployed. They were first unboxed and installed in June 2000. They have worked consistently. In that time only one has failed and Nekteck replaced it! They have been subject to rain, sprinkler system overspray, and 2-4 feet of snow for days at a time. I would say they are a great value and we are very happy with them!

Great lighting bang for the buck.
I really, really like these solar lights with the long lasting lithium batteries. . The price is comparable or less than competitors, and the quality is solid. The button gives you off, low, and high light output. When it is off, it is just the lights that are off-the solar panel still gathers energy and stores it. I live in Florida, so I charged them up for two days (button switch in the off) original position. Florida's sun is FIERCE, especially on days with no clouds or rain! I then tested them by running them in my dark closet to see run times. On low, they ran at least 12 hours, and ran at least 9 hours on high setting. I say "at least" because I don't believe in running batteries down all the way. When they run down, the intensity is, of course lessened, but still acceptable, and the light becomes more yellowish. When they are outside, the morning light turns off the lights, so my closet test is representative of outdoor lighting times. How does running them in a dark closet compare to outdoor use, as they are intended? Well, the lights last pretty much through the night, depending on when they turn on. If you leave them alone on low, AND have enough sunlight hours for the solar panel, they'll do the job. If you have Florida or Arizona type sunlight year round, you can leave them on the high setting. Time will tell how long the batteries last. If I get a couple years out of them, I'll be overjoyed. We have wicked afternoon thunderstorms on some afternoons, so that'll be the next test for these, to see how water resistant they are. The light level is far brighter than many of the 12 Volt systems my neighbors have, and are far brighter, and last longer than other, older solar lights that other neighbors have..I just have to walk around the neighborhood to see and compare!

I love these lights!
I've had these lights for about a year now and decided to order some more for the rest of my yard. The brightness of these lights was surprising! I live on a street that doesn't have a ton of street lighting, so I have these lights focused on my house and the difference is noticeable. My house is the brightest on my street after dark and makes me feel so much more safe than without them. Along with looking good, I think it probably serves as a deterrent to anyone thinking of getting up to no good. If someone has the option of messing with my well-lit house or any of the other houses on my street, I think mine will probably be last on the list. I don't want to paint the picture that I live in a crime ridden neighborhood because that simply isn't the case, but as a single woman living alone, these make me feel safer. The longevity has been nice. I'm also a night owl so I've had an opportunity to see how long these lights last once they're charged up from the sun. I've seen them still on as late (or early) as 3am. They come on a nightfall, and stay on almost until the next morning, even in the winter when they come on sooner than they do in the summer, they've lasted most of the night. Overall, I would absolutely recommend these lights. The profile of the light itself is nice and sleek and not clunky like I've seen some other lights and the color and brightness of the spotlight is exceptional.

good light but panel clouds over
Loved this initially. - The quality of light on our plants at night is very nice, much more pleasant than all the bright white 5000+ K lights. - The ability to angle panel separately from light was critical so you can point the light towards where the sun will be (twisting sideways would also have been really useful). - Originally the lights would last through the night, longer than others. However they are not performing for us now. - we've had one of 4 fail completely (they replaced one and then that failed too) - for the rest they barely last at all, because the solar panel has clouded over with some kind of accumulation that doesn't come off with vinegar, soap or reasonable aggressive scrubbing. This became obvious after about a year. By contrast some of the harsh white solar lights we bought are still going strong every night after 18 months. They have a glossy smooth cover for the solar panel, unlike the textured cover for this panel. See pics. Both types are hit by sprinklers regularly. Perhaps there's some mineral in the water that's an issue for one material and not another. Wish we could get all the good in one product ! long battery, stays clear, angle separately, pleasant color of light ...

Bright and easy to install
These lights are VERY bright and stay on all night on the low setting. Havent tried the high setting since they are bright enough on low. They seem brighter my picture than in the video since I initially had them pointed at the house more to illuminate the home. However, I later decided to point them away from the house just a bit so that it lights up the ground. The angle in the video has the lights facing outward a little more which helps us see more of the ground area when walking around the house at night. LOVE these lights so far! I've had another brand in the past that lasted a few years but definitely had some water damage. I decided not to even risk it with these so I added a sealant to protect from possible water damage. So far we had 4 major storms with heavy rain and some hail and they held up great! Install was easy but the angle is weird when using a drill

They take in water and fail
These have a critical design flaw. The casing containing the battery and circuit board is not hermetically sealed. They lasted a single summer and then started failing. I opened them and found a rusty mess. Thankfully Amazon support fully refunded me.
