Great solid product
Bought this per recommendation of a more experienced videographer and I am so pleased. Easy to open up and also easy (even easier, actually) to close it up. High quality product that serves its purpose. Don’t waste money on cheaper options - make the splurge for something that will last.

Absolute Winner!
This thing is AMAZINGLY well built for the money, and really big when put together. Big soft light for a modeling light or to diffuse a flash!

Quick setup
I had passed over busying this years ago to buy the Godox equivalent. Boy was I wrong. The Godox soft box was much more difficult to put together. This one assembles in 1 minute which is great for tight deadlines.

Great for your key light.
Perfect for your key light especially shooting reflective products like I do as it creates a nice soft, and perfectly round catch-light in reflections. Fantastic quality. Really great. You should buy it. Don’t waste your time with other bowens mount circular “soft boxes”. This is the jam.

Love it but this new model doesn’t spin so if you’re short you have to lower the stand to turn it when taking the grid on and off

Broke My Tooth-DANGEROUS!
I received the Light Dome iii instead of the I. This Dome is huge and requires 2 people to set up. The clamp is tight and hard to manage. Breaking down the light dome iii was very difficult as well. I use the release latch after much difficulty and the medal ring snapped up and CRACKED MY FRONT TOOTH! There is no warning label on the clasp that this item will FLIP OPEN FORCEFULLY AND ABRUPTLY. I will be contacting a lawyer against Aperture and Amazon.

Nice softbox, easy set-up, except…
Bought the Aputure 300d, great light, wish I had three of them. Bought their Lite Dome II, am excited to use it, but the Lite Done II doesn’t come with a Bowen’s mounting ring and none of my other Bowen’s rings/flanges will fit the Aputure connecting plate. Went to local expendibles supplier here in SF (sadly Samy’s has closed permanently here) and they didn’t have any solutions and the Chimera rings they carry do not fit this configuration. Hopefully Aputure has thus as a spare part, am pretty surprised the Bowen’s wasn’t included with the kit.
