Great quality!
These are the BEST frisbees! Perfect size to throw to our border collie who is obsessed. Even our mini doodle is getting in on the game! Great quality!

Border Collie recommended from long time user
I just ordered my 4th set of these and thought I would contribute a review. I've been really happy with this product. I have a border collie we play catch with these 2x per day 365 days with few exceptions. I live in Nebraska, so my discs bake in the sun part of the year and freeze in the snow part of the year. The discs I use daily are left in the elements and I make zero effort to care for them. I get at least 1 year of life out of them, but in time the sun will fade the color out of the yellow and orange discs, while the black and white discs pretty much hold the original color. Eventually the material becomes brittle and cracks from the element exposure and that is when I retire them. Given my lack of care, I have been pleased with the longevity. The weight of the discs provides a good balance of long flight and float. Your dog has to be trained to know this is a catch and retrieve toy and not a chew toy, so for a puppy or untrained dog you are going to sacrifice a disc or 2 during your training process. The edges sometimes get marked up a bit after a year or more of catches, but it has been rare that my dogs have ended up with any bleeding of the gums. Seems like most of the edge marking occurs when the discs are older and harder. They have a bit more flex when new. I am not quite sure when I bought my first set but could be 8-9 years ago. Since I found these, I have used nothing else.

Dog says he approved!
These are expensive but best throwing frisbees for a dog! I don’t allow him to carry around & chew on them. We play frisbee then I put them up when finished. It seems to make him more excited doing it this way, like a “him & mommy” bonding time. I bought my first set in 2021. They were much cheaper then & seemed thicker. We still have 4 left! One baked on the roof for a year! The other also got warped by sun damage. All my fault. I dont think these will last as long but they are still great throwing frisbees. They glide instead of just roll. They are great practice for dog frisbee competition. My opinion they are worth every penny.

Not best for strong mouthed dogs but they do float well
I have a shepherd mix that's strong mouthed. The Hyperflite Frisbee line of products is a good one- I generally buy the "JawZ" model but bought the "Competition" this time because they float. They do float well but unfortunately my dog and her hard bite are going through them pretty quickly just in the course of throw and retrieve. So like most things in life there is a trade off, they float well, are easy on your dogs teeth but the material won't hold up to a hard mouthy dog. There is no perfect frisbee, in my experience-

Good value, great frisbees for playing or training with your dog
Ordered these to use with my German Shepherd Dog. We normally use a soft frisbee, but those get torn up rather quickly as he catches them regularly on a daily basis. These were ordered in hopes that they would be more durable and they are. These are definitely durable, easy to keep clean, and not only fun for our dog but us as well. Using this dog toy to bond with our dog also helps us keep healthy and fit. I would recommend these. They are also a good value.

Not a dog disc
Should be rated for human use only. Flies great but, my dogs make 1 catch and bring it right back and it already has teeth holes right thru it. After 10 throws it's basically trashed and get's thrown out.

Chewy!
The frisbees arent bad - honest review for recreational use with dogs: Solid and heavy - seemingly good for durability (at 1st), but my dogs avoid catching them in the air now, preferring to let them hit the ground and then collect. They hit kinda hard. They are made of this gummy material. At first I thought it was interesting, maybe to make them a little more bouncy for when they hit hard surfaces, or a little gentler on teeth and gums, etc.? Cool. False. Its a chew magnet. As soon as tmy dogs held it, they decided. These things are crack to any dog who is even a little chewy. Honestly, I dont blame them. Its the perfect, satisfying texture. It gives a little but not easily, does not fall apart, will not crack or break. The edges where they chewed before I nabbed it arent even jagged or scratchy. Hell, I kinda want to chew on them! The feel reminds me of a slightly harder version of the candy thing we had growing up, Wax Lips. So satisfying to bite and chew. My dogs are not what I would call "chewers". They dont get after stuff they arent supposed to, like furniture or remotes or shoes or anything else, and they dont tear up their toys. They enjoy a low temp slow smoked bone once in a while, and the occasional stick or pine cone if the fancy strikes. *I should say, when they chew sticks and cones, they dont eat them. They DEFINITELY swallowed some frisbee bits, and I think would have meticulously gone through a whole lot of it if I hadnt intervened. These frisbees were just too darn irresistible. I cant recommend them really, not for dogs, for that reason. They fly fine, nothing special, but we will probably give them to my friends kids.

Quality Frisbees
These frisbee are quality frisbees. They are a great size and weight. They are just as pictured, in terms of the colors I received. The only thing to be aware of is the fact that these are not puncture or chew proof. I have some hyperflite discs that are puncture proof and chew proof and are great. However, upon receiving the box I left the room for a bit and found that my golden retriever helped herself to one and had already had bits of it chewed up. If you use them as you should then they are great. **** Update - 12/08/11 Rather than purchase the bulk set I would look for a chew proof frisbree. These dent up with very little effort from my very petite, timid, and extremely gentle female golden retriever. I seriously don't make that up about my dog...she is a scaredy cat and is extremely gentle. She loves to play fetch, but even just retrieving the discs have put so many marks and dents and cut the plastic that the discs don't fly well at all anymore. A while ago I had a hyperflite chew proof disc that was awesome. Now if I could find where I put it!

As frisbees go they're not bad, but they're a bit thin and weak. Our dog has mangled them pretty bad, faster than some of the other frisbees we have.
