VP Racing 5.5 Gallon Motorsport Racing Liquid Container Utility Jug, Yellow

WTF?!?!? (What Type of Fuel)?!??! Ordered this expecting a standard VP Racing fuel jug, opened the cap, and was greeted by a giant tag basically screaming “DO NOT USE FOR GAS, DIESEL, KEROSENE, OR ANY FUEL.” For anyone confused: this is a legal/labeling issue, not a materials or build-quality issue. These jugs are not EPA-certified “consumer fuel containers,” so VP slaps a disclaimer on them to satisfy regulations. That doesn’t magically change the fact that they’re the same heavy-duty jugs people have been using in motorsports for fuel for decades. I’ve personally used multiple VP jugs for gasoline without issue. Thick plastic, solid construction, no leaks. So yes — ignore the scary tag, understand the regulatory fine print, and buy with confidence if you know what you’re getting. Five stars for VP Racing and their solid product. One star for the limp-wristed bureaucratic nonsense that forces this kind of warning so someone doesn’t spill gas on their loafers and call a lawyer.

Love these fuel cans!! Huge filler neck makes filling them easy. 5.5 gallon capacity makes putting 5 gallons in them easy and reduces spillage. Easy to handle size and carrying handles. I cannot think of anything about them that I would change. They are excellent!!

Best cans on the market. Especially if you get a battery operated pump and then you don’t have to lift it to transfer fuel.

Pretty sad that they have to say this is a grain storage container since it doesn't have all the required safety devices that causes diesel to leak all over you, your equipment, the concrete at the gas station, and which make you hold the container approximately 2 minutes for every gallon dispensed. No, this is a rock-solid "Motorsports Jug" which holds an extra quart of 'fuel' beyond stated capacity. It is easily filled through a 3.5 inch neck with no 'input safety devices' to stop you from blowing yourself up when you're smoking cigs while filling it with fuel. BTW, you can even use the big boy pump in the semi-truck lane to fill this up even quicker. Likewise, there are no output safety devices which require you to spill diesel all over your equipment, skin, and clothing while trying to pour the 'corn' from your jug. Get the VP spout along with the jug. It simply works the way 'corn cans' should and dispenses about 5x the fuel per minute vs snowflake cans. For snowflakes, sorry it has no safety features to protect you from yourself. For everyone else who has a brain and a wee bit of common sense, rebellion against big brother feels good once in a while. I liked it so much I bought another red jug for storing 'corn' for my gasoline devices. I mean my eco-friendly 'battery powered' devices.
