Light weight and easy to wash. The fabric is a little flimsy though, and the pockets are not very large. These shorts a little baggy, and it can be a problem, because they are made in even sizes only. If you are size 31 or 33 or 35, I would recommend buying a size down rather than up.

I use these shorts along with the tesla hypderdri shirts for fishing and backpacking. They're light, rugged, and the fact that they're stain resistant is awesome both in the kayak and in the woods. If/when I get them wet they're also very quick to dry. The pockets are deep enough to store your necessary items and are also mesh, so if water/dirt/grit gets inside your pockets it won't stay there for long. The belt loops are good and sturdy and the waist band itself has a bit of a stretch, which is good for me because when I'm not burning calories I'm fueling them back up.

3 Days straight of deep sea fishing in Puerto Vallarta. These got wet, bloody and stinky, but nothing stuck. They looked brand new every day I left the boat. I even wore them directly to dinner and nobody had a clue. They wash up great and are sturdy.They do run a tiny bit snug, but I felt fine with them on.

These are ok. They dont seem.as wrinkle resistant and the fit is weird..but I am a girl. I alter everything anyway, so I will add some elastic. Color is good. Just wish they were wrinkle free. Dont seem to work with that fabric wrinkle release either.

My husband loves these shorts. The fit is spot on and the quality is what you’d expect from Columbia. I can safely order for him online without worrying I’ll have to return them.

They are my go-to shorts to wear when kayaking, fishing, or just around water in general, and have held up quite well despite the abuse I've put them through. As with most Columbia apparel, these shorts run a little large (I ordered a size down after trying them on in-store), but overall I've been extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Good product. I like the rip stop nylon allot. It has a light feel with good sturdiness. I'm 250 lbs and 6"1', and the 40 waist, and 10" length seems pretty perfect. It's gonna suck when (if) I loose weight because I'm going to have to give these shorts to my fat friends.

They have changed to pocket on the right side - made it narrower. I use these pants for golf and now my tees and divot repairer are really difficult to extract. need to use the back pocket.
