Review: Didn't understand why I needed it till I used it. - I have been trying new things to cook and when I came across mooncakes I didn't have a clue what to do, however after many you tube videos and practice i finally figured it out. Definitely needed lye water for the mooncakes, they came out soooooo pretty. Now I'm going to be looking for other recipes that use it. Review: It's good with steaming certain recipes. - It makes the steamed cake solid & taste better.
