MD-430/GD-73 battery
It's hard to find, and I was glad to get another one. These radios eat batteries because they only have one cell @ 3.7 volts, so the radio uses twice the current to receive then an MD-380 with a 7.2 volt battery. Of course, the '380 weighs twice as much as this radio.

Replacement battery is better than original.
This replacement battery is better than the original. I usually have two batteries that I switch off using. This one has a micro USB adapter built into the battery so it can be charged without being on a radio, while the original battery did not have this. So I definitely find this battery more convenient.

Good battery life and inexpensive
Great battery life and very inexpensive. The only drawback that I see with these batteries is that there is no stand alone charger available. They must be mounted on the radio to charge.
