I have fine straight hair  and the curl dosnt stay more than few min...what should i  do?

This product works great. I have the same problem. I apply hair spray then wind each roller. Let sit for a short time then take out. Curls and body last all day. This is the best product I have found for fine thin straight hair 
I am 58 years old and have been using this since it came out over 20 years

Question 2

Has the fire-hazard issues been resolved? The last two I purchased the cord melted then caught on fire which was a) super scary and b) dangerous.

I am unaware of any fire hazard.  Over the many years, I have had at least two, traveled with them and used them at home until they just wore out.  I ordered another this year but returned it because it was missing curlers of the size that I used all the time.  Never had any problem though and loved them.  Sorry I can't help this issue.

Question 3

Will the felt flocked Conair rollers with pins fit on the heating unit?  The rollers that come with the unit slide out of my fine straight hair

I don't use the plastic covers and so, to keep them in my very fine hair, I use a long metal clip, slid into one of the slots on the edge of the roller and clipped to your hair.  That also prevents ridges from that cover thing, which I always hated.  I've been using these since the 1980's and I will drop dead if they ever discontinue these.  Truth.
