Great battery mower!!!
Have had this mower for several months now and am ready to offer my opinion ... I really do like this mower!! This is the first battery operated mower I have owned and was a bit worried when I bought it. We have a little over a 1/4 acre and our yard is mostly flat. Have had many gas powered mowers and was ready to try the battery craze!! And, I'm glad I did. The mower operates smoothly - is very quiet and light weight. Glad I did not opt to spend the extra money on self propelled. One battery will usually do the whole yard - about 35-45 minutes of run time. The height adjustment is easy - the few controls are easy - the whole process -- easy!! Loading the battery is simply. No vibration. No running to get gas in the can. No gas can in the garage. Very simple to operate and own. Does a nice job of cutting. I do the mulching option and will eventually try the bag just to see what it's like. Bought several other tools from this company and am happy with them all - and having extra batteries (the one battery fits all is a MUST and really works well). The only negative about this mower is the size - I purchased the smaller 16" cutting path and, although I really don't need bigger, it might save a little time (ok, just being a bit lazy to be honest!!). I would recommend this mower and this brand. Make sure each tool uses the same battery - just a suggestion - because it makes life easier with 3 batteries - there is always one charged and ready. (I also bought the weed eater and blower for those curious) Great product and I only hope I'm still this happy with it next year and the year after ..... happy mowing!

Light and easy to use
I got to use this once so far and I absolutely love it. It’s pretty light and easy to push. It was also easy to set up. The battery lasted me an hour. I actually stopped before the battery stopped. The blade it comes with is sharp. I also like that if it hits a rock, it shuts down just like my riding mower. It’s also so very very easy to start up which is a major plus because I tend to start and stop a lot. This is a great tool to use in tighter spaces that my riding mower can’t get into and I’m excited to use it on the slope of my property this summer.

A respectable all rounder... but with specific strengths and weaknesses.
I am on a half acre lot that is actually quite a bit larger than it seems at first blush. I have thick carpetgrass. So I have sort of the worst case scenario for this... about the maximum size lot you'd want to push mow, and with thick tougher grass that requires more oomph. Some thoughts: 1) Do not let your grass grow for 2+ weeks and then mow. The mower has some sort of "torque sense" feature to it, where it throttles up when it is having trouble churning through everything. This helps you power through the heavy stuff, but it also drains the battery considerably faster. It seems like twice as fast. So if you let your lawn go until it's thick, expect twice as many charges to get through it. 2) The grass clipping bag is laughably small. I would NOT want to bag much more a town house sized lawn, for fear I'd wear my shoes out with the amount of walking around it'd take to empty it so many times. It's a 16" deck... this is sort of expected for this size mower anyway, but this bag is small even for a 16" deck. 3) The battery charges surprisingly quickly. You have to wait an hour for cool down if you've really thrashed it ... but it will get most of the way back to full in 2 or 3 hours. 4) It is spookily quiet. You can listen to music easily while using this thing. 5) It is crazy light ... and on a lot with some serious slopes like mine, this is where the mower earns its keep. It is a real featherweight, and lighter than even a 12 or 14" deck el cheapo gas mower by far. This thing handles slopes with ease that would send riding mowers packing and slopes that push mowers would sending YOU packing on. 6) It's electric, so you have just one moving part other than the blade. The blade is the only thing requiring maintenance. Say goodbye to winterization of your mower. Say goodbye to trying to hunt down ethanol free gas that won't ruin your mower's gas tank or carburetor. I suspect even if the battery pack only gets you 4 or 5 years, you'd still come out ahead of a gas mower over the lifetime of the product, given that the gas stuff dings you $3/gallon to refill, and this tops up for just pennies off the wall socket. 7) The height adjust mechanism is sensible and sturdy. 8) It requires this little "key" (electric jumper is more accurate) to operate. I would NOT want to lose that. It will probably be a PITA to find a replacement over time. 9) It takes me about 4 charges to do my half acre if it is a bit dense (week and a quarter or so). One for the front, three for the back. Bear in mind I do have, as I said, about the worse case scenario (thick heavy grass type, largeish yard). So ... overall ... a pretty good compromise. I would NOT get if you do a lot of bagging on any considerable amount of yard. I would get if you have to contend with serious slopes on your yard. Even if you already have professional equipment. This is the best for slopes period. If your yard is a half acre or less ... I'd certainly consider it.

Good choice for smaller applications
Pretty good! We have a smaller yard and I wanted and electric to reduce room as you can easily pick up/wall mount when it’s not being used. Pros: light, easy to use, cuts well at all settings. Blade is easy to remove/place. Cons: blade holes that mount are proprietary so you cannot put another type of blade on (mulching). Blade does seem to not keep a sharp edge very long so you will want to sharpen after each use. Conclusion: if you have a smaller yard, this is a great choice of mower. The cons are outweighed by the ease of use, battery life/charge speed. Bag assembly.

Great little mower!
Really appreciate this little mower. It is so quiet - to my surprise. Putting it together was a breeze. I'm able to mow my standard yard in a short amount of time. It's cheaper than the more popular brand but works just as well. Very happy with my purchase!

Easy to use
This mower is great for a small or medium yard. The electric motor is quiet. The battery has a fairly long life, I have mowed my front and back lawns twice on the same charge and the battery is still at half charged level. The mower is light and easy to move around. It was a little tricky to assemble it out of the box but other than that I am highly satisfied with it.

Excellent for small to medium-sized lawns!
Highly recommended. It's lightweight, quiet, easy-to-use, reliable, and compact. Better in almost every way to a gas-powered lawnmower. I remember mowing lawns 30 yrs ago with heavy, loud lawnmowers that were finicky to start. Wow, the technology has advanced! It's fast and easy to push, not assisted, but it's so lightweight that you don't need assistance. The height adjustment is very easy to move, set it and forget it. The minor criticism I can levy against this dream is the handle that pivots up and locks in place. The alignment isn't quite right at the locking mechanism for the handle to easily pop in place. Still locks, hasn't slipped out, but takes a little muscle to move in there. If you leave the handle bar locked in place, no worries. I fold the handle down and store the mower on a shelf in my garage, so I'm always moving it. Also, this mower will go for about 45-60 mins on a single battery charge. I bought a trimmer with extra 40v battery for like $99 and use that battery to finish up my yard. There is still enough juice in the battery for the trimmer, too. If you buy other Greenworks garden tools, make sure to get the same 40v tools so you can share batteries. Buy higher amp hour batteries for longer use. Catch it on sale for around $200, you won't regret it! *Update (8/11/25): One of the knobs halfway up the handle fell off. It's a knob that tightens and holds the handle side together. I bought a high vibration nut with nylon in the threads to lock the handle in place. Fixed. The mower functions great overall, but uses more battery if you mow taller, wetter grass. Just push slower under those conditions to make sure everything is cut.

Good deal
This is a very good lawn mower. it gets the job done with power left over. Very easy to use and light weight. Reasonably fast and quiet as much as a lawn mower can be. Definitely more quiet than a gas mower. Would recommend it. I'm a senior citizen and cut my own yard.

Facil, ligero, motor no tan ruidoso
