This is great
I haven't run into any dislikes about this book. There's good adventure with this book and spices and it's well around book. If the others in this series are as good as this one I'll probably buy the hole series and I giving this rating because 100% loved this book and would recommend this that likes the same books I do

Title is bad but the book is pretty good
Pretty much the title says it all. Not a lot of depth but short and to the point. Some fun ensues when you pair a strong female with a strong male but that is half the fun. Overall cute. Happy reading.

Enjoyable
I enjoyed reading this story. The main characters were likeable for the most part. Well, the MMC was, the FMC was for the most part, but she was quite wishy washy about whether she wanted to stay, after she was bought at the auction by the MMC, or try to get back to the human settlement. Oh she liked having sex with the MMC, but was very insecure if he had to leave to take care of whatever came up. One of those times when he left because of problems with another clan, she was actually able to leave, get back with her human friends, then overheard that the MMC had been captured, then she couldn't wait to return to help him. She redeemed herself in the battle because she had some training in technology and was able to get a hover craft & laser cannon working, thus saving the MMC and helping his clan to win the battle. The MMC's people, the Kyrzons, had been stranded on the same planet, just as the humans had been, generations ago. The sex was hot, though not the main focus. There were a few grammatical errors.

A lot of flaws with dialogue and character
I saw in another review that this is the author's first book, if that is the case, you can tell. I enjoy a good human/alien pairing, and this book starts out strong. Decent world building, get some interest/attachment to the heroine. The hero shows up and you're intrigued by some of the clan wars... then it goes downhill. Fast. The hero speaks eloquently and sweetly. Not like a war hardened tribal war leader. He is almost over the top sweet to her. I found his dialogue inconsistent with his character. He needed more - GRR - more Warlord to him. I'm fine if he is a sweet barbarian, although disappointed because I do like my males alpha. He's supposed to be dead, but isn't. I'm not sure you find out how or why. (Plot hole). Also - for a Warlord who has never had a chance to have sex and who is trying to get his mate preggers - they aren't actually getting it on a lot (in my opinion). I would think he'd have a lot of pent up need and they'd go all night? Instead it's one... sweeter... go at a time.Back to dialogue - the SAME dialogue is said in bed over and over. Not acceptable and quite boring. Actually, the sex was a bit of a let down overall.Plot was thin, other than she's needed for babymaking and external clan fighting. Her internal motivation is extremely poor as well, one minute she's not interested in being a broodmare (how would she prevent pregnancy is never discussed) the next she wants it. No more reflection other than a sentence about how she yells out she wants a baby during sex so it must be true. This author needed a developmental editor and some more time with the book to flesh it out because this had good potential and good bones, just needed more experience to make the characters real and improve the dialogue. I even wanted to give it three stars because the author tried with the world building and the alien clans etc, but with the dialogue and the failure with the characters, I couldn't. I can't wrap my head around the Warlord being this sweet.

great book
Love the story between the main characters. Just wish the book was longer and so we can enjoy their love life and kids.

Willing to do her duty but…?
Cleo knows she’ll be auctioned off to a kyrzon male to breed. But the auction process and what happens afterward is a mystery. Chief Drokal knows immediately this is the woman he wants for his mate. Will he succeed and will he be able to keep her? Beware the creatures and the rival tribes!

Actually I loved the storyline I loved the hero and heroine all was well described and interesting but I really do not totally enjoy books written from one point of viewI do have the second book but I’m not sure if I will read it because this is the way this author writes again a good story just not my writing preference

It's okay
No plot spoilers, no potential triggers. There are some grammatical and editorial errors but nothing to get irritated about. The characterisation is okay but I wasn't able to gain a connection with either lead characters. The plotline is the usual trope of a tribute bride sold at auction, obviously to a feared warrior.Of course emotions get involved and there is the usual angst before the HEA.The writing isn't bad, just a bit naive. There are some sex scenes and some swearing.I don't think I will be purchasing more by the author, I gave it a go but this genre really isn't my thing. The whole idea of being bought with the specific intent of pregnancy and used as a brood mare contradicts every feminist instinct I have, and I seriously struggled with the genre, I actually felt a sense of betrayal to every woman who has ever fought for equality. But, that's just my opinion. For fans of the genre I think they would like the book.
