This isn't a bad boot, but I found that it runs large and really does not seem like a $200 boot. The rubber is a higher quality than what you get with $20 rain boots, but the arch support was worse. I bought these because they were in stock for less than bean boots are selling for, but decided to return them in lieu of getting L.L. Bean boots.I ordered a half size down from my normal size hoping that it would be a little big because the price was substantially cheaper on the smaller size. Even with thicker socks I found it was still too large, despite the company and customers of the tall version of this stating that it runs true to size, so I would recommend ordering 1 size down. If you add an insole you can probably get away with a half size down. I added an insole to mine and found that the sizing was acceptable.The material is s very flexible rubber, but I ultimately didn't really care for the design. I was expecting the boot to be s little sleeker and the shaft to be a little closer to the leg. I suppose it is designed with a larger leg opening to allow pants to be tucked in.The interior has s plaid design which was nice and the sole seems sturdy. There wasn't much ankle support, however.Overall, I think these would be very nice for garden boots or in a more rural setting, but they look odd in the city. Maybe others will have a different opinion on this particular aspect.

I ended up returning these only because my husband decided once they arrived that he wanted the taller version, but they are really wonderful. I have the women's version of the tall boot and they are amazing. Great quality, stylish, and functional. Beware they do run large. My husband is typically an 11.5-12 and with a super thick sock the 11 was cozy but still roomy.

I own two pair of these boots; one for beach walks and one for bogs and marshes, at different locations. They're light weight and comfortable to wear all day with medium weight socks. They don't take up much space in the beck or trunk of a car. Despite being advertised as "rain boots" the soles are sufficiently heavy duty to handle virtually any surface and clean up fast.
