Replaced a non USA made spindle jack thought was holding only the stairs and landing but was also supporting part of the house. The old one was rusting away/ fell apart when removed and was under sized from a big box store. This support is a Cadillac, sturdy and easy to adjust with the screw. Well worth the money spent.

I bought this to add a support in my crawlspace. I had a company come out and put some in and one of the ones they left was a hydraulic jack. I wanted something that was going to be sturdy and I didn't have to worry about hydraulic pressure leaking over time. This fit that bill. I have bought some others at local stores that were a pipe in a pipe. This one is much thicker pipe and having plates welded on each end made it more stable. The issue is that with load on the screw the handle will not turn. The handle bears directly on the bottom pipe and it creates a lot of friction. If I had enough flat space I would jack with the hydraulic jack and then tighten with this and ease the hydraulic jack down so this one is carrying the load. Unfortunately I don't have the flat space. So, not good for jacking, but seems to be a great product for a support.

Plenty strong and easily adjusted to help level a house without worrying about shim stacking, etc.
