Sounds of Healing: A Physician Reveals the Therapeutic Power of Sound, Voice, and Music

A wonderful book written by a well respected practicing physician on how to heal with sound, as in Crystal Singing Bowls ( which I have and have used since the late 90’s ), as well as Tibetan Singing bowls, two of which I just purchased due to the information in his book.

A perfect gift for a loved one recently diagnosed with cancer. 😇

After getting this book from the library, I knew I wanted it as a part of my own library. I found this signed edition, hard copy version for sale. Dr. Gaynor references so many additional books and resources, as well as sharing his path through medical school and how he found the gift of the healing power of sound. Written by someone with broad, credible experience and proven results. Using case studies to relate patient stories, there is no mumbo jumbo or overly technical jargon. If anyone has interest in the benefits of sound in self healing this is a great start!

This is an excellent resource for people pursuing sound as an integrative medicine. Excellent read, highly recommend! Delivery was fast, too, and the book was packaged well.

In addition to the findings of non-medical authors, it is a plaesure to have a book written by an oncologist who uses concepts and methods that are acceptable to representatives of todays school medicine (or that cannot be dismissed by them as charlatanism). However when relating sound with body response, one cannot get around accepting the role of the chacras. In "Bioénergie" and "Science et conscience de l'invisible", Stéphane Cardinaux reveils the clinical relevance of bioenergy and supports his views with scientifically sound results measured with quantum machines. I am still waiting for a book that links clinical practice with the role of the chacras and of the various layers of energy within the body.

I was a little nervous buying a used book but this one is really like new, in my opinion. There isn't a mark on it. I'm so happy to have a copy of Dr Gaynor's book.

This is a multifaceted and thoughtful introduction and exploration of the phenomenon. Gayer, obviously, has experienced the benefits--personally--of working with singing bowls and other sound methods of healing. You will particularly enjoy the tone of the writing and its searching for the creative in the world of the historical realities of the singing bowls. Buy this one!
