Works great! First one was used, lens had scuffs on it and the ends to the wires were clipped off. Also the screw part of the bracket had a crack and popped off moments after I took it out of the box.. without me touching it) the replacement came the next day and was perfect. I really love the look. Eluminates the plate well and the running/brake light is visible day and night. Fits tight as other said. Needs to be pressed into place as you screw the lense and light fixture in but it seats well and is water tight. I'd buy this again for another bike.

Easy hook up with basic tools and basic electrical knowledge. This is not a "strobe" brake lamp. Just l.e.d., and it is way brighter than o.e.m. I would recommend. 2003 Heritage Classic.

Great design, super bright! I'd been curious about the light output - but this guy gets attention! I'd had an easy install with removing the old one, swapping out the plug behind the light (plug and play) and snugging the new light down into place. Great rubber seal behind the lamp so I know it's going to be waterfast. Connected this up after I installed the Custom Dynamics Load Balance Triple Play adapter (another awesome product) and swapped all my lights to LED at the same time. Very happy with the light output and the slash claw look.

I begin this review by saying that I have to order a second one since the first item ordered was defective, the license plate light was not working. But next day delivery and free return made its magic. The product comes very well protected in its own box but amazon ships in an envelope, second box came damaged but nothing happened (i hope) the the item itself. It comes with the copy of a certificate of compliance and the conector, pay attention to not lose it and check your original light to connect the terminals according to it. Installation took 10 minutes the most difficult prt was to allocate the light properly to insert the screws since the light itself has a very good rubber internal protection, this is why I don’t understand the reason to leave a gap where water can get in (check pics). The style is perfect and the material looks sturdy. How much light? Mmmm I give it a better look since the red does not seem very red in the plastic area it is not a clear red and a strong light. For this and the gap I give it 4 stars, it is a quite economic and stylish option for your harley Davidson Fatboy

02/06/2021-I mounted this LED light on a 96' HD FLHTC. GREAT SAFETY IMPROVEMENT. Conversion required updated light backplate. I used a Custom Dynamics TL-B Taillight Base Plate (Mdl. Yr. 1999-2016) the part included the back gasket (This was a Amazon return so only $18.26). You can try same or source used EBay or HD OEM. First I cutout the bracket inside the opening and painted cut area. Set the backplate to relocate 2 top & bottom mounting holes outside of opening. Drilled where marked in pic #3. I used phillips-head #8/32 X1.25"L SS screws with 11/32 nuts. (NOTE: USE LOW PROFILE SCREW HEADS) Did not use plug end. Trimmed insulation bike wire back 3/4", slipped on heat shrink and slipped wires into each light fixture terminal ends (about 1/2 of braided wire end). Folded back wire, spun remaining braid around terminal and slipped over heat shrink and heated for complete termination. Wire match B.red-yellow to L.red, B.blue to L.purple and B.black to L.black. (B=Bike, L= light fixture.) NOTE: Backplate to Lens requires (2) #8/32 X 1"L mounting screws. You can use OEM as they are course thread. Test wire before proceeding with modification to ensure light works on brake-running & license plate. Some customers reported license light didn't function and seller will exchange. I'm very please with this modification. Better than original factory lighting. I hope this helps others considering this with an older bike.

Although this light is brighter than the one I replaced it with I could not get the strobe feature to work. Installation was easy and the seal around the light is a good one because it does not leak when rained on. Also the license plate light is bright enough for people to see my license plate.

Light was well constructed bright and easy to install. However did not fit my specific model Sportster 2002 xl883. However, best customer service I've dealt with in 2020. fast response, and understanding of my needs. I would recommend.

instructions are non existent! No customer service support or installation videos available. The switch connector did not work with my 2011 Road King. Without any supplied diagram, I placed the red, black and blue wires into the connector only as per the factory light layout but pressing on the brake only activated the license plate light! I switched the wires around and the active Stop light stayed in the entire time. I wouldn’t recommend this company or their light. No customer service or follow up despite complaints. Cheaper price not worth the hassle and waste of time.
