Does this include the leaves as well as the flowers?

Our Dried Organic Violet Flower Sprinkles only include the flower petals and flower buds, no leaves are collected from the Viola Odorata plants (there might be the occasional leaf or stem in your pack though).

Approximately what is the volume of one package? I know they are sold by weight, but not sure how to convert that for my recipe.

I've been using these and it's less than a cup in each bag. It takes 1 & 1/2 bags to make a full cup. Not sure about the weight.

The violets are carefully sun-dried and retain their color, the smell of the dried violets is rather earthy and only slightly floral though -> I'd say not fragrant.

Are these from viola odorata?

Yes, the flower sprinkles are made from 100% dried sweet violets (Viola odorata). Also known as wood violet, English violet, common violet, florist's violet, or garden violet.

Fun with Kitchen Science!

The violets had a great scent and flavor. The pigment in the petals changed from a lovely dark bluish-purple to a purplish-fuschia after I added a little lemon juice after steeping, which was so fun and fascinating. Great quality. I only wish I had ordered more. Oh, well. Next time I definitely will!

Light as a feather

Great product. Maybe next time I’ll have it delivered in my mailbox instead of my front door because if it’s windy I could see my product flying away.

Good choice.

Taste very nice. It has only one problem: the quantity...

Grossly Overpriced

This product is a scam. I thought the amount of flowers would be much more for the price. Quality is also poor. Violets are a common flower. TOTAL RIPOFF. Not eligible for return due to item classification.
