It’s the perfect size to keep on my desk or slip in my pocket when I’m working. I use it to open boxes, packages, letters — pretty much whatever comes up. It’s sharp and easy to handle, especially being left-handed which makes it even better for me. The build quality is really nice. It feels solid and balanced in the hand, not cheap at all. I’ve been using it for a while now and haven’t seen any rust, even with some light use outdoors. The blade still looks clean and sharp. Simple, works great, and looks cool too. Definitely glad I picked this up. Review: Best knife for sharpening pencils! - I've looked for a good, simple, sharp knife to sharpen pencils for drawing and other art. This one is near perfect. It's slim so easy to pack along with art supplies and so far seems to keep its edge. It's exactly what I wanted at a great price and with super fast shipping.

Good leather cutting knife
I like these little knives. They are sharp and do a good job when using a straight edge as a guide. I made a handle out of leather to make it a tad longer and a bit thicker. But it worked just fine without that. I’ll buy more when needed, but it will last a good long time I’m sure. Good leather and wood working knife

Would make a nice gift for the fellow who has nearly everything
Very slim (1/16 inch) - undecided how it should be used and cannot figure left or right handedness of these well made little knives. The case/handle seems to be bronze (stiffer than brass) - has a brushed finish (very handsome). The blade is highly polished and 'appears' to be stainless, but I'm not going to let it rust to find out; it is oiled so that indicates it is NOT stainless. Very sharp! Kind of a glorified box cutter style, but probably IS a carving tool. Anyway - got it for my son to keep in his office desk for whatever. Would make a nice gift for the fellow who has nearly everything.

Razor thin
It's sharp, but more of a Kiridashi razor than a kiridashi knife. About 1mm thick.

It cuts no matter which hand I use
I'm not sure if the description of this item as "left handed" refers only to the direction of the blade, (ie, the steel is cut away from the left side to create the cutting surface, while the right side is flat), or if the name means it's intended to be used by a left-handed person. If the latter, don't be deceived--it's a damn filthy lie. It works great in my right hand AND in my left. This "knife" is the ultimate in simplicity: just a small piece or Japanese steel beveled into a wedge to make it sharp, wrapped in a piece of brass. The brass is held on by a little crimp that adds a very small bit of extra width, but its still very thin--about a 1 ml--yet quite sturdy, which is what i love about it. It arrived sharp, although I improved that with some gentle work on a diamond stone, and it immediately became my #3 EDC blade, which was what I was looking for (#3 meaning totally concealed and unseen, unlike #1-openly displayed, #2-concealed but immediately accessible). The slim profile, short size (5 in/approx 12 cm) and tightly fitting cap make it perfect to slide in a boot, slip under a snug bracelet wore w/ long sleeves, or in the back pocket of a pair of trousers. Mind it's secure though, as its small size and light weight make it prone to fall out of loose pockets. It's even just the right dimensions to hang unseen behind a neck tie, if you have the right hardware to secure it. It's nothing fancy--exactly the opposite, really--and I don't know how it handles carving small details into wood, but for my purposes as an every day emergency tool I can carry in any setting, it's outstanding.

It's great if it's what you need
It's basically just a $10 box-cutter. A thin piece of sharpened steel with an equally thin piece of steel folded around it for a cover/handle. So basically a box-cutter "knife". What it is, though, it left-handed. Meaning the bevel is on the side where lefties can slice/peel/etc items and cut WITH the edge instead of against it. Great for detail work if you're a lefty. Most likely cannot be sharpened, and it looks like the steel will rust over time, but it's what I needed.

Great little blade
I use it as a utility blade in my office. I don't use it every day but when I need it, it works well. It's thin, sharp and lightweight. Perfect for my bag or pocket.
