kiridashi Knife (Ittoryu) Made in Japan craft knife

This is a nice knife. It comes really sharp and it's steel should stay sharp for quite a while. This one is flat on one side and beveled on the other. It has a nice thickness, handles well, and has a flimsy, thought nice, plastic cover for the blade end. I'll make something more substantial soon, because this knife will cut through the plastic in no time.

I like this knife, it took me a long time to sharpen it, but once I got there it was great. It's very confortable to use and it hold the edge very well. Only reason that I don't rate it with 5 stars is for the fact that took me a lot to get it proper sharp. taking that aside, it is a great knife

I really like this as a marking tool. As a knife it is a bit hard to get a good cut across wood fibers. It's hard to get enough down pressure at the tip to get it to cut like you'd want. But I'm keeping this - really like it!

Fun knife. Out of all my knives, this one gets the most comments. The sticker was hard to remove, but once cleaned up it looks awesome. Would definitely recommend. Very sharp and feels good in the hand.

Picked this up for a bookbinding course and have been very happy to add it to my collection of leather-working tools. Sticker is a little annoying to get off, but it looks really nice and seems to hold an edge well thus far.

Ordered this for marking lines, and it turned out to work be a good general workshop knife. Using it more than expected.

Came real sharp, ended up stropping the blade to put a polished edge.Great feel and long edge.Anyone know what type of steel or can read the Japanese labels?I know it’s carbon steel but curious which type.

Very nice marking knife. In the future, I would like to see some shaping on the handle for fore finger and thumb, but it wasn't expected as the image of the knife was clear.

Il ne me reste plus qu'a continuer ma petite collection ...Vraiment difficile de poster des commentaires sur Amazon, car on ne peut pas simplement et rapidement écrire que l'on est content du produit, il faut en plus écrire un roman; je ne vais pas faire de la prose sur un couteau!

It took a while to get this but was worth the wait!

Je me sers de ce couteau comme tranchet de menuisier et il est parfait dans ce rôle: pas besoin de couper parfaitement puisque je l'utilise pour marquer le bois (à la place d'un crayon par exemple).
