At the longest point it is slightly over one and five eights inches from one end of the oval to the other. It does not have a true oval but tapers. The end closest to the blade is slightly under three eights inches wide and then tapers out to slightly under five eights inches. It is sealed with Permabond.

I Googled “Hatchet Blade Sheath” on Amazon and came up with several and at a descent price.
