This is the best designed bag dispenser that I have seen on the market, hands down. I used it through one entire bag rotation to be able write a good review about all the features. (yeah this poop bag holder has features)It has a nice carabiner that allows it to hang easily from your leash or a belt loop on your pants. It really does not get in the way when you manhandle your leash. I hang it from the end loop of my leash where you are supposed to hold on to. But every poop bag can hang well, this does way way more.It is the perfect shape. It is just big enough to fit your bag and there is no need for anything extra. It looks really good and sleek and does not get in the way.Putting in a new bag is such a breeze. You simply unscrew the bottom and slide your new bag in. There is a little plastic protruding tip inside the dispenser. There is one on the top and one on the bottom. This makes it easy to put on so that the roll is in place and rotating along the center access. Think of it similar to the metal rod that thread spins on in a sewing machine. These little plastic tips keep the bag in place both when it is full and when the roll is almost empty. They also create some resistance for when you pull a bag out so that the bag roll is not just always rolling around inside the dispenser.When the end of the roll is not hanging out the dispenser it is not a huge pain to grab a bag, like it is on some other dispensers. You simply use your finger to rotate the roll inside the dispenser until you see the end and pull it through the hole. Surprising how difficult this issue can be with other dispensers.Most notable feature is that there is a hook on the back of the dispenser to hang a used poop bag from. This way you don't have to carry a used bag around in your hands. I love this idea. It is so helpful on long walks or just for the sake of not wanting poop in your hands.There were two things I wish were different in this dispenser. One is that I wish there was a protrusion in the dispensing hole where it would make it easier to rip a bag off from the roll. I just use my thumb instead to feel for the point to rip and to help with the ripping. I just wish this was built into the dispenser instead. Two, is probably most commented already is that the bag that the dispenser comes with smells HORRIBLE. It is not lowering my score though because the terrible scented bags do not in any way make the dispenser worse. If you have such a problem with the bags, just toss them out right from the start and pretend like the dispenser never even came the roll.I had a different nice dispenser before this one. When I saw this one, I knew it would be much better. And I am very happy with my decision. I would definitely buy it again, even if I already had a different dispenser.

I never thought I get so excited over a poop bag dispenser, but here I am. Maybe there's something wrong with me, but that doesn't change the fact that this is the best dispenser that I've come across yet.When I first got a dog I got the standard Bags on Board bone-shaped dispenser. It seemed okay, though it was always difficult to thread the bags through the small opening. Eventually, though, that dispenser broke right between the opening for the bags and where the lid screwed on. The problem was that this space was way too thin/weak, even without over tightening the lid.We switched to a Bags on Board snap-on-lid dispenser. That was a disappointment because the lid was extremely difficult to put on and take off and, eventually, that one broke too.We ended up with a generic bone-shaped dispenser for a while. That was okay until my daughter carried the lid off somewhere.In search of a replacement, I knew I wanted a dispenser with a screw on lid, but one that would have the strength to withstand constant use. I spotted this dispenser and figure that even if it was the worst dispenser ever, it would be worth the risk at the price I paid for it. It was 25-40% cheaper than comparable dispensers at the time of purchase.I've been using it for a few weeks and, so far, it's fantastic. The material seems sturdy and I highly doubt that I'll experience breakage like I did with other dispensers. The space between the lid and hole for the bags is ample. As a bonus, the hole to thread the bags through is generous and I can easily fit my thumb and finger inside to peal the sticker and grab the first bag.Another nice feature, that I didn't see listed in the description, is a little hook on the back of the dispenser to hold the bag that you've just used to pick up poop. It's nice not to have to hold a soiled bag the whole way back home, just to end up fumbling with it, dropping it in rain puddles, etc.This dispenser has a metal carabiner so that you can attach it to your leash. The one I received was green and matched the dispenser. I definitely like the metal fastener, as I've had plastic fasteners break and stretch to the point of repeatedly unhooking themselves. I have a 1" very thick and sturdy leash. It took a little bit of manipulating to get the dispenser attached, but it was no big deal and feels very secure.The bags that came with the dispenser are very nice. They are thick and, yes, they smell good without being overpowering. I didn't buy any refills because I have a stash of Bags on Board brand bags left over. The fit perfectly as well and this dispenser has generous interior pegs on both ends that hold the core securely in place.Now there are two "negatives" that I feel I should mention. Neither of these things bother me much and obviously didn't impact my score, but I still thought they should be mentioned. One is the green color. I'm not a fan of this color at all. If they never offered another color would I still buy this dispenser? Yes, of course. But I would prefer a different color. Secondly, my dispenser arrived with a logo printed below the dispenser hole. In very small letters it says "Earth Rated" and below that, in bigger letters, it says "PoopBags". Again, this doesn't bother me. But I realize that some people might not like this.

My wife claimed she would walk the dog more if we got a "designer" poop bag dispenser made of printed canvas for $25 plus shipping. A couple months later the cheap metal parts of that "quality product" fell apart. We already use the excellent Earth Rated poop bags, so figured I'd give their dispenser a try, for $4 why not? I can say I am very satisfied with this product. It was designed with a high level of attention to detail, and that is something I truly appreciate. It is sturdy and easy to load because it screws apart, and it has a little post molded into the bottom that you mount the roll on, just like toilet paper or paper towels. The threads are tight. The opening to dispense the bags is wide; you can still use it while wearing light gloves. It has a Velcro strap so you can attach it to virtually anything. Our pretentious designer bag only had a clip, as the company also relied on the fact that you'd get a matching designer leash with a metal loop built in to the leash handle (pro tip if your wife/significant other does get you stuck with one of these designer bags with just a clip, buy a cheap pack of binder rings and clip one around your leash, bam there's your loop). My favorite feature of the Earth Rated dispenser is the hook on the back meant to carry a full bag. That works perfectly: after you've knotted the bag, just slip it on the hook and go on your merry way. I could not be happier with this dispenser for $4. It embodies a 5 star product by having helpful features I never even knew I needed with a high level of durability and a low level of cost. Get one!

I struggled a bit with rating this product. Is it a good high-quality product? Yes. But they soooo over-market it that you'd think the dog s**t picks itself up.The dispenser is probably the best part of this purchase. Somehow it's just a better dispenser than all the other free or crappy ones I've used. It's easier to find the roll-end, grab the bags and pull them off, and the velcro and clip are better than I expected. The little velcro strap holds this really well on the leash, and that plastic clip... oh that clip is worth the money alone. Effectively the velcro holds this thing, and this thing holds the poop. I didn't think it would work well overall, but it actually does. I use it every morning and it's significantly superior to hold the s**t bag in your hand and not awkward at all.The bags though aren't are revolutionary as they'd have you think. They're decent bags, no doubt, but are they waaaay better than other bags I've used? Neh... They are maybe a bit longer, so it's easier to pick up the load without involving the side of your hand. And certainly I haven't had them leak or break. But most of the really cheap ones I've bough perform nearly as good. Also, they tell you it's somehow easier to open these bags then others, and I'm here to tell you that's dog s**t!!! They are just as much of a pain in the but to open as every other poop bag on the market. The ONE advantage is that they have some tiny writing that makes it clear which end of the bag is the top-side, so you don't try for 5 minutes to open the bag from the wrong end. But the opening part is just as frustrating.--- PROs ---- Holder is superior to all others I've ever used. This is unquestionable.- Easy to find end of roll and pull the bags out- Easy to break the bags off- The thing hasn't broken in half like all the others.- The tiny velcro strap actually works great- The clip will hold your full-load bag and is a great system to keep your hands free- Writting on bags to tell you which end is up is helpful- Bag size is good for large loads- Bags are high-quality and break/leak-proof--- CONs ---- Bags are still hard to open, equally as hard as every other

This is one of my favorite poop bag dispensers.Pros:- velcro loop to attach to the dog leash is great as I can adjust the dispenser to the right length so it doesn’t hit against the leash or my hand.- the hook for used bags is great is the main reason why I bought this one. Whether hiking where there are no trash bins or my dog going multiple times, this hook makes it easy to carry the full bags without holding it.- the size. This is essentially the size of the poop bag roll which I like that its not overly large.Cons:- The biggest con for me is the piece of plastic in the too the keeps the poop bag straight in the dispenser isn’t durable. When its there, you can quickly pull on the roll and rip off a bag. When it breaks off, the roll moves around inside the dispenser and you have to fiddle with the roll of bags to spin it enough to get a bag out to use. We have had to re-buy this dispense several times as a result.- The hook for the used poop bags can get caught on clothing and break. We have found if we attach the dispenser with the hook facing a certain way we greatly reduce the risk of it getting caught on clothing.Overall its a good bag dispenser. I just wish the plastic insert on the lid that the roll sits on was more durable.

Moving from an address with a yard that I could easily scoop weekly to a new place were I need pick up bags made me do a lot of research on the type of bags I wanted to use. I needed something sturdy, something fairly big in size, easy to use, easy to carry, & something to help with the smelly part. After doing a lot of research I kept seeing this as one of the top 5 rated items for this kind of job. So I ordered them. I was not diappointed at all. They were sturdy, easy to use, and the lavender smell helped. The only down side was the plastic insert that holds the bags in place in the holder snapped off only after a month or two of use which is why I gave sturdiness a 3 because of the holder not the bags. Shortly after my second holder did the same thing I decided to contacted the company. Let me tell you I got the best customer service I have ever had. Not only was their response polite and fast they offered to send me two new replacement bag holders without even thinking twice. I knew right then I spent my money with the right company. The experience I had is why I have chosen to purchase many other products from them and hope to see lots of great things to come from this brand.

Earth Rated bags and dispensers are the only company I'll buy from for my dog. Why!-The dispensers are sturdy. My dog is growing out of her puppy phase, but occasionally she'll forget she's a big girl and chew a little bit on stuff. This dispenser can survive a little bit of extra chewing. (Not a *whole* lot; the whole reason I bought a second one is because she destroyed the first one. In the dispenser's defense, though, she had unrestricted access to it for a couple hours when it fell off the hook while we were out, and she's a 60 lb Lab/Boxer mix.)-I have yet to find another brand of dog bag dispensers that has a hook on the back to hold the bag. It's a good hook, too - if you make a knot in the bag it'll hold it in place until you find a Dumpster. This is great for me as I live in a residential area where most of the residences are single-family homes, so if I get more than 5 minute walk away from my own apartment there's nowhere to throw the bag until I return.-The Velcro straps mean that I can wrap it tightly around my leash, which means that the dispenser doesn't slide up and down the leash. Most metal or plastic carabiner clips allow the dispenser to slide (and the plastic ones break!)Also, for those of you who don't already use Earth Rated poop bags, the bags themselves are great! They are thicker and bigger than most pop bags, so I don't have to worry about accidentally scooping with my bare hand (ew) or the bag tearing and stuff leaking out (ew), both things that have happened with other, thinner, smaller bags.

Velcro strap helps you put this on the leash or your belt. There's a hook to hang the used bag(s) until you get home or to a trash can. We have two growing retrievers and these bags are big enough to handle the output--one bag per dog! The first bag ripped when I took the sticker off, but the rest have worked flawlessly and the dispenser is small enough to not be a nuisance in your pocket, on a regular leash, or even on one of the extending leash devices that run out a number of feet. The Velcro is on the end of the strap so be sure it's secure as the Velcro doesn't run the entire length of the strap. Not a problem; it just helps to know how it works. I bought back up bags and expect those to work well as the dispenser is solid and well made. It beats carrying grocery sacks. The scent is light enough not to overwhelm you, but good enough to keep the smell contained once the bag is tied off. I can recommend this highly.

I can't rave about this product enough, I'm so absolutely in love.The dispenser is easy to open, you just twist the top and bottom apart and it opens up, you slip a fresh roll of bags in, and twist it shut. There's a hook on the back for used bags, which honestly is so convenient! There's adjustable velcro to secure it to your leash, or anything else if you felt needed.All in all I have no complaints. I highly recommend Earthrated to anyone searching for a new dispenser!

Muy contenta. Hasta ahora siempre había tenido los típicos dispensadores con forma de hueso que se rompían al poco tiempo. Llevo más de un mes con este y además de ser comodísimo se nota que es más resistente. Las bolsas también están genial, grandes, de buena calidad y con un aroma muy agradable.

I was disappointed that the color of the dispenser was not Lime Green. It is more like an Army Green color. But it's okay. I would have liked the pink one more anyway, but they didn't have it with unscented bags like the green one.I like the product. It's plastic but not a cheap plastic. Pretty firm, looks like it will hold up for a long time. The bag roll sits firmly inside and has a good dispenser hole to pull the bags out.I got the unscented bags because, and here's a tip for you, the last time I had scented bags (a different brand) bees were following me around all Summer. Ugh. So I was glad to see that this company provided unscented bags. Yay.
