Fit exactly into my old lamp. Works exactly as i needed it to. Perfect replacement

I had a bottle lamp. The bottle had Christmas lights inside to use as a night light. The person that made it, had a switch on the cord. This was the only way to turn the night lights on, and of course, you used the lamp switch to turn the bulb on. To turn both on, you had to use both switches. I felt like there had to be a lamp socket that would do all the functions I wanted it to do without the extra switch on the cord. I figured some of the stores would have the lamp socket, but they did not. I finally did a search and found that Amazon carried these. I was so excited, I bought three of them. I could hardly wait to get them. When I got them, I nervously installed the first one, turned the switch, and the night lights came on. I turned the switch twice and the lamp bulb came on. I turned the switch three times and both lights came on. Then I turned the switch the fourth time and both lights went off. I was so excited that it worked just like I wanted it to. I have done a second lamp like the first one, and it is working fine also. Now I have a third one to do, and I have every confidence it will work also. GREAT FIND!!!

I deducted one star from this 2-circuit switched socket because the base doesn't have a set screw or threads for it, even though it's shown on the Amazon photo. This means you may have the socket twisting around with use. My old socket base had a set screw and the new shell happened to fit into the old base, so I was able to get everything tightened down. Other than this issue, the socket is very well made & the switch knob turns very easily.In my lamp, the 2nd circuit goes to a night light in the base of the lamp, so I changed the wiring from the provided diagram so the "hot" wire from the plug connects to the black colored screw and the wire going to the hot side of the 2nd lamp is connected to the brass colored wire. (The neutral wires from 2nd lamp and the plug still connect to the silver screw.) This changes the switch sequence so it operates like this:Both lights off, both lights on, socket light only on, night light only on, both off. This made more sense when the lamp is used in a bedroom rather than getting blasted with the main light just before going to sleep.

I have a lamp that uses a smaller bulb on the base with a larger bulb at the top. Switch allows just the base, or just the lamp or both. Old one that came with the lamp wore out. This one worked just fine.

I have 11 very nice lamps I bought 44 years ago and can't find anything comparable to them now days. All the lamps (living room, bedroom and floor models) have a night light in the colored glass base. Finding a replacement 3-way switch which turns on the lamp main light, then night light, then both lights at the same time was a challenge. The Leviton 7070-PG Aluminum Shell Incandescent Lampholder was a perfect replacement. It was easy to remove the old worn out fixture and install the new lampholder by just keeping track of which of the three wires (or sets) wrapped around which screw of the lampholder. I'm not an electrician but the entire process from start to finish took less than 10 minutes to have the lamp operating like new again. Will definitely buy more of these lampholders for when my other lamps eventually develop a switch problem. I highly recommend this product for anyone with a similar need.

Direct replacement for damaged light socket. Worked great as expected

These were impossible to find at my local home improvement stores, so it was a life-saver to find them on Amazon (after a lot of hard searching!). They worked great when I replaced all the wiring in 2 old lamps I inherited from my great-grandparents. I've very attached to the lamps, but the original wiring was really really bad and starting to short, smell like burnt rubber, etc. So when I replaced the wiring I went ahead and did the switches, just in case. It's not worth a house fire to save a few dollars.Anyway, if you need a 3-way switch to control 2 sockets instead of a 3-way bulb, this is your ticket.

I liked this product. Was easy to install, even though the wiring on this lamp was a mess. Worked very well on my 3 way lamp. First click, top light comes on, second click, both lights turn on, third click, top light goes off, click again, all light go off.

Exactly what I was looking for which was very hard to find. This is for lamps with two lights and the possible states are: ON-OFF, OFF-ON, ON-ON, OFF-OFF.

A little disappointed in the quality and feel of the product. Not as described as it did not have the set screw.The metal is so thin it feels like plastic.

The turning knob, can be better quality. Purchaceh because I was not able to find one un my haware store.
