All the reasons we love this bike
This is a great bike at a reasonable price. My son is 4 years old, 42 inches (106cm) tall, with a 16 inch (41cm) inseam and we bought the 14 inch bike for him--which turned out to be the perfect size. Thank goodness we didn't go larger, as we debated doing. It's hard to find 14" bikes in stores to try on for size, so I hope that helps. He loves his new bike! He went from a Strider balance bike to this one, so we didn't use the training wheels, but here are my thoughts on the rest of it: 1. Thick tires add stability. I'm sure the kids have to pedal more/harder, because of the added friction, but it's a great feature for kids learning to ride a bike without training wheels. We've gotten several comments from strangers about how amazed they were he was riding a two-wheeler and how much easier this bike looked due to the thick tires. (Some of his ability we owe to the strider balance bike, of course; it took him about 10 minutes to figure out how pedals worked, but other than that, he took off on this bike pretty readily. However, I think the thick tires definitely helped with the transition and continue to help him as a new rider.) Since his dad mountain bikes, my son loves going on the kiddie-level dirt trails "like my dad" and the tires on this bike are especially great for that kind of terrain. 2. Sleek design. It really is an attractive bike and yes, kids care that their bike likes "cool." (We got the white bike.) 3. Nice wide seat with a rim on the back. Comfortable, easy for kids to sit on and feel balanced and secure. This is something else I've heard comments about. ("What I wonderful wide seat!") 4. Two sets of brakes--there is a hand brake on the handlebars, and the pedal brakes as well. I mostly see my son (4yo) use the pedals, but he says he uses both. If nothing else, I think he likes that it looks like his dad's bike. It's nice to have both options. 5. I really like the the chain is enclosed with a plastic guard so he doesn't get caught in it or manage to pull it off. His pants don't get dirty and curious fingers don't get pinched. A neighbor kid always seems to have his (exposed) chain fall off and, so far, this hasn't been an issue at all with this bike. 6. The seat goes so low. Another bike I looked at did not adjust as low, despite being the same size bike. That was a MUST for him at this stage, since it would have been too tall for him when he was just learning to ride and needed to be able to reach the ground. Of course, the seat raises, too. 7. The bell broke in about a week's time. I don't know if it's because the attaching ring is just plastic, or if my son was too rough with it. That's disappointing, but doesn't affect the integrity of the bike itself, so...oh well. I worried that the water bottle holder, which is also plastic, would break with all the use; but so far it's held up great. Speaking of, the water bottle is a nice extra. Its not a make-or-break, but my son LOVES that he has his own real water bottle. He feels like he has a "real mountain bike" like his dad. Other than the bell breaking, I would be hard-pressed to find any complaint about this bike. We can hardly get my son off his bike. He'd sleep in his helmet if we'd let him, just so he'd be ready to ride at any given moment. If you're looking for a set of bike lights for safety, I really recommend these: The Friendly Swede Silicone 7 LED Bike Light Set, White and Red . They're great lights, inexpensive, very bright, easy to attach or remove, have several light pattern settings, and they fit nicely.

Great fit for my 5 year old.
I read a lot of reviews before I chose a size and they helped me so I figured Iโd add my 2 cents. My son is 44 inches tall I purchased the 14 inch bike and itโs a perfect fit. My son fits with his feet flat on the ground, with the seat all the way down. It means he will have room to grow into it, as we can raise the seat quite a bit. Iโm confident it will fit him for a couple of years. Itโs very easy to adjust the seat. The whole bike was super easy to assemble as it comes nearly fully assembled already. There are just a few things to attach and it comes with the tool to do it. The water bottle isnโt quite usable with the seat fully down but I didnโt purchase this bike for the water bottle. My son loves the bell and the reflectors. Everything is nice quality and very sturdy. Definitely an amazing deal for the price.

A well-equipped "big kid" bike for little riders
This bike earned five stars from our household because it's a good-looking, thoughtfully designed option for small kids who want a big-kid ride. Here's what we liked about it: -- This bike looks more like a mountain bike. There are no plastic shields with cartoon characters and no silly padded bars. -- It has a clever space for a water bottle, something few bikes this size offer. Our son loves it. He feels his bike looks like his older brother's model. -- It comes in a hard-to-find 14" size, which is just right for many riders ages 4 and 5. This bike was a present for our son's fifth birthday. He was riding a 16" bike with training wheels, and although he had developed the balance necessary to ride without trainers, he was afraid to ride without them as his feet couldn't touch the ground. With this bike, he was riding without trainers within minutes. -- Our son loves the bell, and we like the handle on the back of the seat. It makes the bike easier to load into the truck for family bike rides. -- The seat is more comfortable than those typically found on small children's bikes. That helps-- our son rode nine miles on it one day. It's also a bit lighter than some. We had one complaint: one of the pedals cracked after a few weeks. They were of a standard size, so we substituted one from an old bike. Overall, build quality on this bike is good. So, if you're looking for a nice-looking "big kid" bike for your little rider, the Royalbaby is a fine choice.

A couple of cons.
Kids love this bike! Hereโs what I love and donโt love: Pros: - everything is nice and sturdy - everything is included for assembly and it doesnโt take very long and is easy - the colors are great (we bought a blue and pink one for our kids) - having a handle on the back of the seat is really nice to both carry the bike and assist with pushing - itโs nice that it includes a little bell Cons: - itโs in the heavier side - the โupgradedโ water bottle under the seat is a joke. I would never fill it with water and use it. The new version looks cool, but the older version with a bottle holder is better - itโs a little prone to tipping even with the training wheels on (elbow and knee pads are a must for really new riders) Overall, good bike and really good value.

A bit heavy but great quality
This bike is totally solid! It's a bit heavier than usual, but this actually makes it more sturdy for riding. I also feel that the wheels seem slightly wider than normal which again, makes it a bit easier for balance purposes for first time riders. My 4 year old has been using a balance bike and when we purchased this bicycle through Amazon we didn't need to utilize the training wheels that came with it. My daughter took off with very little assistance and has been riding like a champ on this bike ever since. The seat is also a quick and easy adjustable clamp, that makes it super easy to change as they grow taller. The drink holder and water bottle are a great addition. We chose the blue color and it is very pretty. We did need to adjust the front break to relieve the friction of it rubbing. The bell is nice and actually gives a cute "ding" instead of that annoying throaty chortle that most bike bells seems to make. My daughter loves this bike and so do we.

Our 3 year old grandson loves it.
We purchased this bike for our 3 year old grandson for Xmas and it was the perfect size 14" for him to learn to ride a two wheel bike on. It seems we'll made and the price was reasonable. By the time we left for our home after visiting for a week we had spent several days riding our bikes with him through his large neighborhood. It comes with a bell, training wheels along with a hand brake and water bottle. Our grandson loved ringing the bell. It was also easy to put together.

Yup yup yup, get the bike.
I just got the bike so I will update in a few months if need be but initial response is, this is a great quality solid bike. Assembly was super easy and straight forward, all tools included. Took me a half hour to build. The training wheels are at a good level to the ground, not too much wobble like a lot of other bikes with training wheels. Child gets the feel of learning to balance without that overwhelming fear of falling over. Hand brake works great, tires are beefy and durable, and the overall quality of bike itself is just awesome. More then I was expecting. My child is 42.5โ and we initially went with the 12โ bike but returned it for the 14โ and this one is perfect. He has very little experience on a bike especially one with training wheels and pedals and he seems super comfortable with plenty of room to grow.

Great purchase, would recommend!
Great quality bike, very sturdy and the training wheels are also strong. It also looks great, green colour is vibrant and looks like the picture online. My 3 year old son loves it including the water bottle that comes with it!

Quality Bicycle
Very strong, quality bicycle. Easy to assemble and adjust height of seat and handlebars. My only concern is that since the frame is made from steel, it is quite heavy and may take a bit longer to get the hold of balancing once the trainers are off. BUT the upside to that is it can take beating and remain undamaged. I would have got the model with the aluminum frame, but it was not available at the time of purchase. Otherwise, this is a fantastic, quality bike that looks and feels great.

Sturdy but pricey bike
I think the bike is great, sturdy, and tires are big. I dont really have anything negative to say about the bike itself. But I think it is a bit expensive as you can get a nice bike for half the price. I got it when it was a bit on sale and during this coronavirus pandemic... but I do not think it is anything special so a cheaper bike at Canadian tire would have done the job.
