Excellent performance and value. 13 months full time without a hiccup.
02/24/2020 Update: Added a second MultiPlus to run in parallel with first. Very easy to configure that way. The increased capacity has removed all overload warnings (when exceeding 2,000W). Haven’t been able to load up past 4,000W yet so not sure how that will behave, but I’m sure it will look and behave the same way. Because my overnight idle loads are so small, having both inverters drops consumption to AES power save mode. So power consumption for both inverters running overnight is the same or less than the single MultiPlus. Nice to have redundancy so if one needs maintenance or fails I can rapidly reprogram to still supply power to the place. 12/1/2019 Update: New firmware is now OS agnostic. You may need a Windows box to get the inverter to the correct firmware revision, but you’ll only need a device with a USB connection after that. ——— Thirteen months and going strong. The good: Absolutely performs as specified. I was a bit confused about VA vs. kW so I walked into the purchase a little uneducated. Basically, assume it’s a 2kW continuous inverter that can easily handle 3kW for at least a half an hour in reasonable temperatures. This unit has run over a megawatt of primarily solar and battery power through it in 12 months without any issues. The Bluetooth dongle to monitor it was pretty amazing. However, don’t wait as long as I did to hook it up to a Venus OS device. Having historic data at your fingertips, as well as live performance metrics anywhere you have Internet is priceless. All connections are clearly labeled, and easy to get to. The unit is very well built and rock solid. I only had to tighten two screws on one side once after a few months of operation. I didn’t put loctite on them, but they still haven’t loosened again even after being relocated. Charging via generator: Being able to soft start and throttle the amount of energy to pull from my generator is an amazing feature. I’ve been able to configure the unit so the generator is producing maximum watts per gallon of fuel, as well as not stress it because it’s running flat out. The adjustable charging profile for (3rd party) LiFePO4 has been spot on. Support: What few questions I had, customer support was remarkably quick to respond, friendly AND helpful. Even when my questions weren’t very well worded. Things to be aware of: It’s pretty heavy. It’s pretty bulky. If you’re going to be updating firmware or settings yourself YOU MUST USE WINDOWS. I’m not a Windows shop, so was a little annoyed that of all the Victron devices I own, this one is not OS agnostic. I had to dump an unplanned couple hundred dollars on a cheap Windows box. Still! Worth the price of admission for me. According to my shunt (BMV712) the unit pulls 35W at idle. A little more than in the spec, but I haven’t been able to sort out where that extra 10W draw is. Could be the shunt isn’t perfectly calibrated. It does hum under different loads, so unless you like an occasional humming blue box, don’t install it someplace you want perfect quiet. If you’re charging at more than 80A for extended time, expect the fan to crank up full speed and heat the room up a bit. The bad: Haven’t found anything truly bad yet. I’ll update if I do. (Other than I only have one. I will be getting another one in 2020 so I have redundancy, and can wire it up support the equipment the site will need while under construction.)

Love the MultiPlus - Works great and has greatly simplified our lives!
Received and installed the Victron MultiPlus 24/3000/70-50 on June 8th and been running all my house loads since. My setup allows me to maximize solar and my battery bank allowing me to be virtually off grid. On the rare occasion that my battery bank is low or I decide to run the Microwave and additional high loads, the built in transfer switch connects me to the grid until that need passes. All handled by the MultiPlus, built in inverter, transfer switch and charger in one fully programmable unit all working together is a huge plus. I was of the thinking that having everything separate was the way to go, but have found that having the inverter & charger in one is actually less grief and juggling to suit my needs. Not having to constantly switch the manual transfer switches for various loads helps keep things simple for me and my wife.

Got a Defective Unit, don't buy victron on Amazon
I have used several of these, in different applications, these are great units, albeit expensive, but I expect victron products to be high quality, reliable, and carry a 5 year warranty However, this unit, purchased on Amazon was not working properly. Because of the complex nature of installing these things (this was a second one I was connecting in parallel with an existing one to have split phase 240v), it took more than Amazon's standard 30 day return window to discover that the unit was not functioning correctly. Amazon referred me to victron, Victron expects the dealers to deal with warranty and service issues, back and forth... All I wanted was a replacement that wasn't faulty. Amazon said they couldn't just replace it. Eventually Amazon said I can return the unit passed the 30 day return window and get a refund. So I ordered another identical unit, on Amazon, and returned the faulty one. However, almost two months went by since I returned it, and I received ZERO refund. So I paid $1388 x2, and ended up with only one unit. This is the last time I'm buying victron products on Amazon.

Looks great and UL listed
Haven’t hooked it up yet but very pleased at the overall appearance and if it works as advertised ill be a happy camper, ha its for my airstream solar system…. Anyways I got the UL listed because ive always thought the heavier it is the better when AC/DC coils are involved and this thing is a beast at 50lbs compatible to its identical non UL listed version that weighs in at just 24lbs. For 200$ I figured twice the weight in electronics and windings why not. I’ll report if any problems but create, Box, package all in perfect condition so fingers crossed on operation.

Big and Heavy. Hums
This inverter weighs around 40lbs. It appears to be well made and doing a great job so far. My clock on the microwave is keeping accurate time and my appliances are working great now. I've had numerous cheap China inverters and they tend to crap out in a short period of time. I don't like the constant humming sound this unit makes even under small loads. I read elsewhere to use rubber washers on the mounts to dampen the noise and I believe there's also a firmware update for the issue. Something to look into.

Very good So far
This 3000VA (2600watt) 24VDC unit will run a 13500 btu AC (about 1200 running watts, battery draw 53 amps@24VDC) without a soft start. Soft start is recommended and on order. Only thing that I would recommend is that you don't be afraid of the 24 or 48 vdc units. I was able to save almost $400 in cables alone. I purchased the victron 24 to 12 VDC buck converter to run the 12VDC things in the trailer.

Victron is the way to go
I upgraded from the 12 volt to the 24 volt and I knew I was going to get victron.

This product was working just fine for a couple of month on my off grid system. I left it for the winter and disconnected it from the electrical system. When I came to turn it on after the winter, nothing happened. It doesn't even show sings of turning on. Of course for warranty I need to talk to the seller but I can't seem to find a way to do that
