My daughter’s review: I bought the 60x80, 15 lb blanket a year and a half ago and have used it almost every night since. It covers the top of my full sized mattress with about an inch over hanging at the foot of the bed (it’s almost the exact same size as my mattress topper). I mostly only use the minky cover because I like the softer plush feel better. The “cool” cover feels like a 4star hotel sheet set which I like. I wouldn’t say there is much of a temperature difference between the 2 covers. The minky cover is just cozier. During summer months I use just the blanket with the minky cover and my top sheet. In the colder months, I need to add a few throw blankets underneath, sometimes a comforter too. Im a bit of a cold sleeper.Both covers and the blanket have 8 ties inside that have held up well so far. It is a bit of a struggle to get the weighted blanket inside initially (I’ve found that turning the cover inside out to tie the bottom 3 loops and the 2 on the sides before inserting the blanket makes it easier and more manageable), but once it is tied down and “fluffed out” it stays in place well unless I’m SUPER fidgety. I’ve washed the minky cover about 5-6 times and have not noticed any color changes or texture alterations.When I first started using this blanket, my eyes felt like there was something gritty in them that I could not find. Not sure if it had anything to do with the blanket or not. After a few weeks the feeling stopped occurring so it could have been an environmental issue. The blanket doesn’t seem to be any lighter than when I bought it, so I don’t think it lost any beads.When I lay under it, it feels about as heavy as the dense, hand made quilt my parents use. I don’t feel like my movements are restricted any when I use it. It is a little noisier than a regular blanket since the beads will shift some when I move, but I would say the sound is akin to the sound my rice filled heating pack makes, but a little quieter. After becoming accustomed to this blanket, I’m considering purchasing a second one with a heavier weight.

This weighted blanket set is a GREAT value. Not only does it come with the blanket itself, it also comes with two separate covers. The inside blanket -the weighted blanket itself- is basically a duvet, so a cover is a MUST! The first cover is lightweight for summer months (it's a lovely, soft material that feels heavenly against the skin, *especially* when it's hot! And yet, I've never had an issue with overheating.) The second cover is fuzzy and soft and designed for colder months. I could curl up in it all day long! In researching weighted blankets, I found that many weighted blankets cannot be washed. Also, many do NOT come with a cover. However, with this particular blanket, it *can* be washed -gently. The instructions say to wash in cold water on gentle cycle, tumble dry low. However, I prefer to tumble dry just long enough to get the damp out, then hang over a banister to dry. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love, love, LOVE this blanket! If you haven't tried a weighted blanket yet, try one! It's such a cozy feeling like being wrapped in a hug from Mom. On a rare occasion, when I have a particularly bad anxiety attack, this blanket is a lifesaver. But please, DO NOT mistake this for a product simply for anxiety. Anyone, anywhere could benefit from a weighted blanket. What was absolutely amazing to me, was that despite being weighted, it is never too hot. I've never gotten overheated, or even too warm. Somehow it is both weighted and lightweight.Must be magic LOL!Although it's not specifically for anxiety, the weight of the blanket is incredibly comforting.One warning: for older folks or those who are infirm, please be aware of the weight of the blanket you get. My mother-in-law, who is sick, loves the blanket, but unfortunately she is too weak to move the blanket around on top of her. Please be aware of that. You can, of course, get blankets in different weights. In that particular situation, I would suggest a much lighter blanket.

I was not sure about this type of blanket. I am also one of those that will hardly send anything back. I will usually give the something away if I didn't get what I wanted.This blanket is so cozy and comfortable. I got the 25lb and could not be happier. I loved that it has the outer layer so I can wash it when needed.It is not too heavy to feel like your being crushed or anything really.If I had one thing that I could say is a little bit of an issue is the ties that are inside to stop the inside blanket from moving around. Somehow they come untied and I triple knot them. When I try to pull the blanket up over my shoulder while laying down I will have to always make sure I have both parts of the blanket in hand.Other then that it's a pretty darn good blanket. I love it in the winter. Two nights ago it was -13 where we live and I sleep with only this blanket because it is seriously enough. You stay warm and feel hugged all night.I got the size that says Queen but it does not really fit a Queen. You might want to get two if it's for you and a loved one on the other side of a Kings size bed. My husband does not like the heavy of any blanket so I only bought this for me. Now my husband lovingly teases me about me having my Blankly. haha I don't care how old ones gets comforts is comfort and this one is soothing, comfortable, comforting, warm, hugging, and feel safe and snuggled in bed.I do recommend this blanket.Another thought: This weight kind of reminded me of when I go to the Dentist and they put that heavy leaded cover over my body when I get an X-ray. Same feeling. So there you go.. Try and see. I think you will happy with it..
