We keep buying Takii Umami Powder made from Shiitake mushrooms because it’s just that good! It adds an amazing depth of flavor to everything we cook, from soups to stir-fries. I add these to simple noodles or fried rice or soup, it elevates its taste. I like that this is all from natural source, no artificial ingredient. I am taking one star off because it is quite pricey for such a small bag. I think this would eventually make its way to Costco, if its not already there. Or any substitute would probably be cheaper. I may not buy this again just because of the price point.

There is salt to the taste but just sprinkle a little bit and amazing flavor enhancement occurs without the salt being an issue. Also it has a slightly sweet flavor which is great, crazy that there isn't sugar added because it almost tastes like it! I've tried others like McCormick ( soooo salty, and very bitter) and this Taki version is the best so far, slightly sweet, no bitterness, gives that "it's missing something" rounded out flavor to your casseroles etc.

This is a wonderful seasoning. It has all my favorite seasons in here. Garlic onion, mushroom sea salt. The combination is just phenomenal.
