Mahabharata: The Greatest Spiritual Epic of All Time

Very faithful and easy-to-read rendering of this greatest of epics filled with timeless wisdom and philosophy. Very much appreciate this author's efforts and the gripping and faithful rendering.

Life changing read. I read the Ramayana before this. I recommend doing the same. Very enlightening and philosophical without being over complicated. Absolutely love this book.

Excellent! I listened to the audiobook and upon completion bought a physical copy of the book. The book arrived with the cover slightly damaged but otherwise in great shape. Everyone should read this book.

I recommend this Mahabharata over any others for either the casual reader or Bhakta.

I have read 3 different versions of the Mahabharata. I think this one is an excellent rendition of the story. It forgoes a few details (yes, the original account would mean at least 3 more books like this one), and uses modern english prose to tell this many millenium old epic. It is said that in the Mahabharata one can find every kind of man and every kind of situation, and it is not far from the truth. What is more amazing is that in such an atemporal epic, not only you can find thoughts and philosophy that are very relevant to our days, but also a sincere message of tolerance, love and duty. That packed with a load of adventures... Anything better? Highly recommended. PS: If you liked The Lord of the Rings, try this.

I have read different versions of the beautiful Mahabharata which I didn't manage to finish as a result of the way they were written in. I have finally completed this version and enjoyed every second of it. It is written in a very simple and approachable way. In some parts the Kurukshetra war is described to thoroughly in my opinion. Enjoy reading!

Arrived several days early, thank you. Packaged very well and safe from any outside damage from handling through the postal system. Excellent book and I am so happy to have it. Thank you.

I am very much a student of Eastern philosophies and the Mahabharata was a must read book. Even though this an abridged addition it took me several months to complete it. First of all the reading caused me to better understand the various Hindu religious ideas that were being discussed. The second stumbling block that caused me to understand were the names of both mortals and Gods, how they related to each other, and the story. I had to repeat the process again as I either forgot or became confused which added to the time I think this a must reading, especially the Bhagavad Gita, which to me is condensed in the book, thus must be read by itself. I spent time on some Hindu websites reading the synopsis and this greatly assisted my understanding. It is worth the time and effort to understand the book. Redsoxpapa

I have read a fair amount in my years. This is the best reading for me. Ever!

Shanti Parvam is missing and also Bhagvadgeeta could have been elaborated (it was not written on purpose by author) , however I gifted this book to my Catalan husband and its really good to get the picture of the great Mahabaratha war and basic understanding.

A classic works, this one by Krishna Dharma is very authoritative for Hindu's like myself. As well to all people, everywhere. It has a jacket to this amazing works. The website picture is underneath the dust jacket. It is beautifully presented. It contains hand drawn pictures in black, white etc, here and there, bringing this fab works more to life! Krishna Dharma in this edition tells it so well. I fully recommend this greatest epic of all time!

AN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC BOOK!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO READ FOR ANYONE WANTING TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HINDU MYTHOLOGY, particularly the MAHABHARATA This is a gripping, spectacular, spiritual, inspiring, memorable and knowledgeable read- it’s written in English, and it may be a little difficult to understand for beginners in reading, but very much a fabulous and nostalgic read- for all Indians specially I had order a second-hand used book- but it was as good as new, and arrived in proper condition
