Used to cut plywood boards. Worked well and my husband is happy with it.

This is a nice handheld jigsaw. The size is great for my smaller hands and is easy to use. It has a nice thick cord. The only downside is that it didn’t come with different thickness of blades. Being new to jigsaws, I didn’t realize you needed different sizes for different kinds of wood. Now that I know, I will have to try out the other blades that I purchased separately.

Ergonomically, the BLACK+DECKER Jig Saw is very user-friendly. The handle is comfortable and well-designed, reducing hand fatigue during extended use. I needed a jigsaw for a small project. I didn't anticipate I would use the saw very much, so I didn't want to overspend. I saw the tons of good reviews for this jigsaw and decided to buy it. It handled the original job I bought it for with ease (a few large radius cuts) and since then I have found tons of projects to use it with- many that I wouldn't have considered without the saw.It has plenty of power for the plywood and 1" pine board that are my primary building components. It also had no trouble on the few 2x4s that I have cut with it. Using a guide to keep my cut straight I have also ripped plywood with this handy little saw.If you are only going to have 1 saw in your toolkit it should be a jigsaw, and that jigsaw probably should be this one. Very versatile from fine work down to ripping plywood and cutting 2x4s- This little wonder does it all.

Extremely easy to use, maneuver, it's lightweight, my tiny girl hands can work this like a pro (ok close lol) after just a few minutes of practice. Cut through like slightly softened butter on very hard to cut vintage wall panel (to expose an old covered window) and my sink cabinet\vanity that was much thicker. My other saws were just too much for these projects and too big to fit into those spaces. This worked perfectly, can't wait to try it out for more crafty projects.

Other reviews have covered the many good points of this saw. Here’s a different positive.Moved and didn’t have large power tools at the location yet. Pruned oak trees and needed to cut larger parts of the limbs small enough for yard waste pickup. It easily sawed through solid oak limbs about 3 inches in diameter. With just the supplied general purpose blade.Powerful for the price!
