The Resting Place: Living Immersed in the Presence of God

Ok but not overly 'inspiring'. I havent read any of his other books and as this is a rehash of quotations from them it gives a flavour of his writing. He comes across as being very positive, which the church always needs, but I wonder if that's at the expense of realism, ie living in the real world. He leads a well known healing ministry, but I wonder how many people who go for healing there are genuinely healed? Nevertheless, in many ways I applaud his outlook.

Collection of extracts from other books. Good read though especially if you like Bill Johnson.

Does not disappoint in line with all Bill Johnsons books

This book was just what I needed. It travels through the many aspects of resting and hosting the presence of Holy Spirit inviting you to come and enjoy His presence constantly.

Not as inspirational as I'd hoped, I expected it to be more meditative and reflective as its title suggested.

Beautiful book to meditate on!!

I love the cover and think it's beautiful and although I know we shouldn't judge a book by its cover, I did have high hopes for it based on how beautifully presented it was.Sadly, although the cover is new, the content is not. All of what is inside this book is taken straight out (and I mean word for word) of his other books, so if you've got those books, you'll be reading stuff you've already read. It's a real shame the author didn't add anything fresh and new.
